Behind the scenes of a twilight house shoot. It’s often very calm and chilled until the sun hits the sweet spot and then it’s all go! Loved shooting this beautiful home for @a7architectureltd one beautiful spring evening, how good is that golden light?!

On #WorldBookDay we’re celebrating how books stay with us from the very start, helping families create special moments, strengthen bonds and build treasured memories together, even during challenging times 🤍

🩷 Thanks to a collaboration with @gylibrary and @a7architectureltd, our book bags continue to be available to all families staying on Guernsey’s neonatal unit. Reading to newborns boosts brain development and fosters connection, even if they don’t yet understand the words. It creates soothing routines that lower stress, aids sleep and is also a lovely way for siblings to feel involved in the care of a new arrival.

🩷 Our Baby Boxes, gifted to all families in the Special Care Unit, include a copy of the locally written ‘Bee Adventures’ series. The story is about two bees, Hariette and Freda, who have a wonderful time at the park and love going home to Mama Bee. These were kindly donated by Linda (Lin) Batchelor who illustrates and writes the content, while her daughter edits and publishes. 50p per book sale is also donated to the PPBF. You can order a copy by emailing qwerky45@gmail.com with the subject line ‘Book Enquiry’

Was there a standout book that helped you or your family during your neonatal journey? Let us know in the comments below 📚

We love being able to add new things to the Book Bags that we provide to Guernsey’s Special Care Unit, supported by our lovely friends at @a7architectureltd. As well as having books to read to their new arrival, parents now have Aqua Tots and Kiddy Kapers vouchers thanks to @gylibrary. Having these extras will also be perfect so that twins and triplets can enjoy these experiences too.

What is Aqua Tots? 👶

These fun sessions at Beau Sejour help develop hand-eye co-ordination, balance and confidence through structured play activities.

What is Kiddy Kapers? 👶

A casual play session with pool toys and inflatables for accompanied babies and preschool children in the small pool at Beau Sejour.

When approaching The Old Shoemakers House project, we paid special attention to the floor and wall treatments, lighting fixtures, doors, and hardware to enhance the space.

Our collaboration with A7 Design and Luxioso ensured a comprehensive approach to the architectural shell and internal and external layout.
