✨ 🌙 U N H O L Y 🌙 ✨ The first photo with the silhouette. 😈 @mountainmetis did such an excellent job of taking my random ideas and turning it into ART. I used this photo to promo Sheetfaced waaaaay back to this song (‘Unholy’ by Sam Smith and Kim Petras). Recently, I wanted to revisit what listening to an entire album was like, so I decided to listen to Sam Smith’s most recent album which is VERY different from Gloria, their 2023 album. However, I appreciate very much witnessing their diversity of sound and talent and growth. Yet when I see these photos of myself, I do not feel I’ve grown. I moreso find myself wishing I could be self-expressed like this all the time. Like these images are a reminder to my present self that this part of me still exists; do not forget yourself. A reminder to anyone who needs to hear this: you can access power within yourself at any point you choose. Dolly Parton had her look, and I have mine, but she was right: “it costs a lot to look this cheap.” Not that I think I look cheap, and I never thought Dolly did either. 📸: @mountainmetis 💇‍♀️: @megan_lynn_artistry 💄: @blizzardwylde #StarPower #Glow #Bioluminescent #BlackCat #Halloween [ID: Several images of a person with demonic horns and flowing star makeup and bioluminescent hair and clothing. ☀️ H O R I Z O N ☀️ Photos by @dragcontentyxe / @photosbydorcas :) I don’t have much to say except that I am so grateful to everyone who came out to this event. ☀️🌙 It truly was an honour to have all the talent we did perform, to perform on Treaty 6 territory right on the river at the @shakespearesask site, and to have all the wonderful people come to this event. 🎭 Thank-you @kytami and @phonikops for playing on a chilly Saskatchewan September evening! ✨ Event by @foundationhousemusic and @emotion.festival 🫶 I still don’t feel recovered from the summer + Horizon Fest! I can’t believe it’s already over halfway through October. 🎃 👯‍♀️ Keep on dancin’ 🪩🌟✨ #silks #dance #yxe #saskatoon #fun

I guess the good thing about the life and death of my former account is that I get to repost all my favourite photoshoots. Just kidding. I will never stop posting this photoshoot. 😈 This is how I want to exist all the time. Bioluminescent, hot, and evil. 📸: @mountainmetis 💇‍♀️: @megan_lynn_artistry 💄: @blizzardwylde #Halloween #Bioluminescent #UV #Evil #Demonic [ID: A demon with brightly coloured UV-reactive hair and colourful UV-makeup poses in a purplish-blue light against a triangular background.]

✨ 🌻 S U N F L O W E R S 🌻 ✨ This was one of the first flower crowns I made. Not that I make them regularly; I really only make them when I am gripped by the compulsive desire to realize a concept and/or capture a moment in my life via a photoshoot. A few years ago, I was gripped with the compulsion to somehow capture golden hour: both the golden hour of the day, but also the seasons. This year has been especially rainy: the September rain really gave all my flowers a second life, and they are blossoming just as much, if not more than they did in July and August. However, with the zero degree weather, they are all about to whither with the frost. (🎵: By the way, this song choice is due to the fact that this is song is still by FAR the most-requested among young children I encounter - my students request to sing this/kids at shows want to hear it all the time!) Sunflowers remind me of the balance of the year: they are prominent during Mabon aka the Fall Equinox aka the beginning of Libra season (not-so-coincidentally represented by balancing scales ⚖️). They have brilliant yellow petals on faces like the sun juxtaposed by a dark, black centre that attracts butterflies, bees, birds, and of course, humans once they go to seed. Sunflowers grow tall like they strive to reach the sun, but unlike Icarus, they will never get too close because the tallest sunflowers have the deepest roots. They spread their joy and optimism broadly and with abundance; to me, sunflowers represent the confident, shining strength to be who you are, even when there is darkness and colder days coming (and already present). Five years ago, I picked a yellow shirt for my theatre headshot. “That was a mistake,” I thought. “WHEN do I EVER wear yellow?!” 👇👇👇 [Continued in captions below! ⬇️ ] 📸: @karynlovesnoah 💄: @derekcapulet 💇‍♀️: @megan_lynn_artistry #sunflower #october #Libra #Equinox #harvest [ID: Several photos or a person in a white dress at sunset with a sunflower flower crown on their head.]

🌙☀️ THANK-YOU FROM HORIZON FEST☀️🌙 A huge THANK-YOU to everyone who was a part of this festival. This was only some of the nighttime footage I have - many of you were not featured here but deserve so much recognition for all your hard work. Your bar dollars spent here go toward supporting the Shakespeare festival! 👾 ASTEROIDS 👾 One of the (many) highlights of this past weekend was being able to dance a set for @wardski_music !! Dude you slayed so hard! 🎵🎵🎵 Sorry for the weird cut of this @noisia_official tune; I just had to put down the silk fans for a bit because I felt this track was asking someone to RAGE to it for a while sans props!! 🔥 🪩: Scheduling yourself to dance while also running an event is not necessarily something I’d recommend, although it kind of just worked out that way with the four platforms going at the end of the night. We had aerialists, pole, two gogo stages 😱 It was wild! I am so proud of everyone! I really am truly grateful to all the artists - djs, dancers, technicians - for sharing their skills and presence this past weekend. To all the folks who showed up, you are loved and appreciated 🫶 And to the folks who weren’t there - you were missed and I can’t wait to see you next time! ☀️🌙✨ Shout out to @devious.dagger for the aerial rig and @aidan.priestley for the pole help! Thank you to @saskatoonpoleanddancestudio for the rental 🙏 Thanks to the staff at the @shakespearesask for being awesome. AND thank-you to the many volunteers who helped us set up and tear down! Thanks to @foundationhousemusic @emotion.festival @emiliodcanto @whosbrennana for putting on ☀️🌙 HORIZON FESTIVAL ☀️🌙 !!! ✨ Times can feel dark, but there’s always light on the Horizon ☀️ 🌍✨ Video cred for these shots goes to @kseniahpids but there shall be shots from @k_o.media and @dragcontentyxe to come! #yxe #yxelocal #gogo #saskatoon #GogoDancer [ID: A dander with UV-reactive hair in pigtails and. That was so much fun, thank you for the experience! I have been wanting to do gogo dancing since 2021 but I was lacking the confidence, now I am stepping into myself more and more and couldn’t be happier and more proud of myself. I wish I would have gotten more pictures but thank you Ella for the videos and most of the photos

A little behind the scenes from Horizon Festival. This week’s project was building this illuminated HORIZON sign by hand for the festival. From laying out and cutting the letters to sanding, staining, mounting and lighting everything from behind, we were able to physically manifest a symbol of the event. The transition from one world to another - in this case, an idea to a material symbol - is a big part of what Horizon Fest is all about. The festival is built around the idea of crossing a threshold: daylight into night, familiar spaces into something transformed, and different forms of creativity meeting in the same place. And this Saturday, we get to manifest it in person, in the same space, together. HORIZON FESTIVAL 2026 📅 Saturday, September 12 📍 Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan 🎧 30+ DJs 🎨 Live art + live visuals 🔥 Performance, circus, aerials + fire 🛍️ Vendors ☀️ UV Sunset 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 All ages A day of music, art and culture on the river, join us as Saskatoon catches the sunset. 🎟️ Get your tickets at horizonfestival.eventbrite.com See you on the Horizon. ☀️🌙🌟

♓️ 🧚‍♀️ HAPPY (upcoming) HALF-BIRTHDAY 🧚‍♀️♓️ 📸: After my last reel for Horizon Festival (I deeply lament the fact I end on a compressed & grainy version of a video for myself), I finally snatched the higher quality version of this video from the one and only absolutely angelic @brittanylealandphoto ! ‼️Get your photos taken by Brittany Lealand! She is an absolutely angel and extremely talented! ‼️ ☀️: Horizon Festival is on Sept 12, which funnily enough, is my half birthday. This video was taken March 12th (my actual birthday!) My wish for everyone is that you can treat yourself like it’s your birthday EVERYDAY. Be kind to yourself & know that life is finite, it’s not worth being unkind to yourself even one more moment of life. Collaborators on the birthday present: 🧚‍♂️🧚🧚‍♀️: Fit is the ‘Nymph Cut Out Flare Sleeve’ from @devilwalking ✨ It’s one of my absolutely favourite outfits! 👠: Shoes from @weareshoefreaks 💇‍♀️: Hair by @megan_lynn_artistry 💄: Makeup by @thebeautymystic 🦋: From Wings Art Ua on Etsy 🌸👑: Flower crown by me! With a lot of help from the Dollar Store and a glue gun (also from the dollar store). 🪽: In the wise words of the late great Dolly Parton, “it costs a lot of money to look this cheap” aka beauty is art and it costs money - I wish I had the talent to do my own hair and fancy makeup regularly; I honestly look up to and admire all the artists I know that are absolute icons (drag artists, skr1ppers, makeup artists, hair stylists) constantly creating new and/or maintaining ✨polished✨ and interesting aesthetics. I wish I could do it all, but I can’t. I am always striving to be authentic and have my outside match my inside. It is an ongoing process, because, and I suppose this is unsurprising for a Pisces: I feel very fluid. I will always do my best to advocate for my trans relatives and neighbours for gender affirming practices & care, because I believe everybody deserves to be themselves authentically. ✅ LEARNINGS: drop media into a Google folder if you don’t want it to be compressed over text, email, or Meta
