POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Jodi, Mike, Catherine, Isaac, Hannah, and I, are off on a week adventure. The first day of vacation/dropping Hannah off to University of Ottawa is in the books.

Started the day at the Quebec roadside Dino’s, explored montreal and did some city teeter tottering, went to the Habs team store, and surprised Hannah and Isaac with tickets to Hamilton. Jodi Harrington and Mike Harrington have had Hamilton planned for many months and we managed to keep it a secret. We walked by place de arts and Jodi gave them the tickets she got them.

Tomorrow we are going to Ottawa to explore and then Sarah and Tabitha will join us all and we will move her in.

What an emotional week

Spring is just around the corner, and that means many new builds in this part of the world will be getting underway.

One of the first items you need to select when building, is your propane or woodburning fireplace.

Today, Jodi from @classicstoves is continuing her “Cozy Season” series with us, and answering more of your questions about fireplace design. Swipe through to see what she has to say, and if you have any more questions, ask in the comments!

Tim and I talk often of how lucky we are to have met the people we have met and been to the places we have been the last few years. This video is from our Compact Trip in Atlantic Canada last June, specifically a very special night where we got to do the ceremonial lighting of the fire with the Fisher family and friends. We will never forget this trip for so many reason but this lighting of the firing be a big one. We’ve heard rumors we might be going back this year! 🤞 We will keep you updated!

Yesterday was this magnificent woman’s 26th birthday. We found each other at 21 and quickly formed a friendship that has overcome distance and will absolutely last our lifetime through. Happy birthday, Jodes. As always, wishing I could be there with you.

Teaching these kids to ride their bikes has been....a process. By my own admission it's mostly been because of my weight and not being able to keep up with them.
Those are the kind of things you give up if you choose food over everything else... This summer I am determined to get them trained. With the help of uncle Mike and Aunt Jodi (and me). We will hopefully get them to master the art of the bike ride. Or at least ya know.... To be able to bike on their own.
Phase one and Isaac's best friend from school comes by with his family. Isaac got up on the bike and held a pose that suggested he knew exactly how to ride. Nothing to see here.
Phase 2 saw some boys around Hannah's age come walking. Immediately recognizing them she jumps off the bike and hurriedly wheels it back into the drive way.
Phase 3 had the same boys return by but this time boy 2 says to Boy 1 "oh dooooo you like her?" Boy 2 gets bright red and takes off running.

Ahhhh the joys of childhood crushes. I'm afraid I haven't probably seen the last of such things.
But for now, they are kids. For now, they will try to learn to ride after years of their dad being too lazy and self conscious to teach them.
New beginnings I suppose.

This picture represents the night that we were so emotionally drained from studying for exams that when Lexi gave me the last cinnamon bun I started crying uncontrollably because I thought it was the nicest thing anyone had ever done. Ever.
