Does PRP actually work for knee pain?

Here is the honest answer: it can.

But that does not mean it is right for every knee. And it definitely does not mean every PRP injection is the same.

I see this all the time:

One golfer gets PRP and says, “I feel like I got my knee back.”

Another spends real money, feels little or nothing, and decides the whole thing is snake oil.

The problem is that “PRP” is not a complete treatment plan.

The diagnosis matters.
The severity of the arthritis matters.
What is in the syringe matters.
Where it is injected matters.
And what happens after the injection matters.

For the right patient, PRP can help improve pain and function. But it should be a thoughtful decision—not an expensive guess.

I break it all down in the new YouTube video.

Comment PRP if you have considered it, had it, or have a friend who swears by it.

If you are a golfer with knee pain, my free 5-minute Ready for Tee Off warm-up guide is linked in my bio.

The cortisone shot isn’t fixing your knee. It’s just quieting it down. 💉
I call this the cortisone carousel — get a shot, feel better for a few weeks, pain creeps back, repeat. A two-year JAMA study found repeated steroid injections were linked to more cartilage loss, not less. 📉
If you find what’s actually driving your pain: you get off the carousel, protect your mechanics, and stay in the game.
If you don’t: you keep riding it while your options quietly shrink.

Funny story 😂

While working media relations + PR for the Brown Sugar & @color.way.show during Miami Swim Week, I was also helping support VIP seating on-site.

@geomiddlebrook and I got to talking and both said the same thing: “You look familiar…”

Neither one of us could figure out from where.

Then he asked me, “Do you watch @beautyinblacknetflix ?”

And THAT’S when it clicked. 😂

Officer Trackson!

And if you know me, you know I LOVE that show.

So with Season 3 officially dropping yesterday, this felt like the perfect excuse to finally share these photos.

Beyond the fun celebrity moment, this event was special to work on.

Brown Sugar & Color Way was created to intentionally center Black and Brown designers, models, creatives and entrepreneurs during Miami Swim Week and ultimately welcomed 600+ guests after generating more than 1,000 RSVPs. This show was one of the first of its kind in Miami during Swim Week and this is the exact type of PR that I specialize in 💯.

Grateful to @kyealexis & @lexybmiami for trusting me and AOI Events & PR with the media relations and publicity for such a meaningful experience.

Now the important question… 👀

Who else already started Season 3 of Beauty in Black?! And do you love it?? Please tell me I’m not the only one bingeing it this weekend 😂

Your golf cart might be the reason your knee isn’t getting better. 🚨
Your knee cartilage feeds on movement — not rest.
Walking between rounds isn’t extra work. It’s medicine.
Baylor research: 40% fewer pain episodes in walkers with knee arthritis. 💪
PRP + regular walking = a protocol that actually addresses the problem — not just the signal.
