Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair (@a_train2_ )is honoring eight-year-old Palestinian girl Fatima Hisham al-Bayouk during Sunday's NFL game against the New York Giants, continuing a series of tributes to children killed or injured in Gaza amid ‘Israel's’ ongoing military campaign.

Al-Shaair, who has used the black strips beneath his eyes to display the names of Palestinian children, is dedicating his latest tribute to Fatima, who died from injuries sustained after being struck by ‘Israeli’ gunfire east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

Fatima had been the sole survivor of her immediate family. Her mother and two younger siblings, Leen, a baby less than a year old, and three-year-old Asaad, were killed in an ‘Israeli’ strike on Dec. 13, 2023.

In the days before Fatima died, pleas circulated for her urgent medical evacuation in the hope that she could receive treatment and survive. Her death has renewed attention to the dangers facing Palestinian children in Gaza, including those who have already lost family members during the war.

Much love to the brothers I had the honor of speaking to in Puerto Rico! 🏈🙏🏾

We’re a few games into the season, and I just wanted to send some love to these warriors and wish them continued success. Praying for your health, your families, your mental strength, and your protection every time you step on that field.

Football is what you do, but it’s not all of who you are. Keep growing as men, keep leading, and keep walking in your purpose. I’m rooting for you all season long!

Much love, fellas. Go handle your business! 👑💯

As a Palestinian 🇵🇸, I want to show nothing but love and respect to Aziz for using his NFL platform to stand up for Palestine and speak for those whose voices often go unheard. ❤️

It takes real courage to stand for what you believe in when the whole world is watching. Your support means more to us than you may ever know.

Much love and respect, brother. May Allah bless you and continue to give you strength. 🇵🇸❤️🤲🏽
Respect. Courage. Integrity. Some things are bigger than the game. ✊🏽
