Junior Year: The year of change and transformation!✈️

Like many other students, this is the year I studied abroad. However, it had not been my original plan. I had entered Junior year with the intention of fully investing myself academically and socially with extracurriculars and then I would study abroad fall senior year, but God had different plans for me.

Fall semester I was fortunate to serve as President of BACSA, Secretary of BSU, Treasurer of @bucknellmenaa and @bucknellbcf (shoutout to Brent Papson and Alison Hill for always coming through when I had questions). I was an RA in Robert’s again, I was on the marketing committee for the Bisonettes and I had two amazing mentees in TEAM. I even started a club with other students for a class project: @bucknell_smart (if someone could revive it, that would be lovely). However, I decided to drop all of this to participate in the Bucknell en France program.

Spring Semester, I studied in Tours, France with 4 other students. The beauty about a Bucknell study abroad program is how straightforward the process is. With Bucknell faculty/staff spearheading the program and itinerary, you get to personally discuss what a schedule can look like. We got to take a cooking class, a DELF preparation course (to take the official exam to be certified in French), a course taught by the professor and any other electives of your choosing. Some more highlights from my time abroad;
- 3 trips covered by the program (Paris, Nantes, Aix-en-Provence)
- Staying with a host family
- Taking a Tango and Hip-Hop class with Université de Tours students
- Getting to visit 10 countries including France

Fun fact: On my last day, I went to the salon to dye my hair and eyebrows ginger
