My mum’s facebook display picture for the longest time (and, maybe even now) was that of bioluminescence. I had no idea that’s what it was called back then. Then, I watched ‘Kumbalangi nights’. And ever since, I for one, wished to see the bioluminescence someday. But, more of it wished and hoped someday to just be able to sit near a place wherein at night, the source of light was that of the moon. And, as companion there was always the sound of water, fishes, i don’t know maybe even that of crickets as well. Yesterday I got to experience the closest to all of this. And, that to me is the beauty of storytelling, stories and art. ‘Twinkle’ is an experience. You just need to be there and stay there with her/ them. And, maybe somewhere along the way you’ll meet someone you know or even better a part of you. I think the art of just listening, imagining and fully staying present somewhere; Is in one of those ‘endangered’ category of things. And, what I hope for a world looking for everything instant, Is that maybe, MAYBE. Sometimes we should just take a pause and try and listen to a story. And, let ourself completely dive in to imagination and experiencing it. #twinkle #kathakonfluence #kalaforum #aalstudio
