The title of this work, Accord-Désaccord, holds agreement and disagreement together, suggesting that coexistence may not be a state of permanent harmony but an ongoing negotiation between differences and conflicts.

INTER-FACE:ing LuxuryLogico (@interfaceingluxurylogico) is open at AaltoSiilo (@aaltosiilo) until 25. October.

The artist collective LuxuryLogico (@luxurylogico) is presenting their works as an immersive VR experience for the first time. The exhibition INTER-FACE:ing LuxuryLogico (@interfaceingluxurylogico) at AaltoSiilo (@aaltosiilo) features three works that can be experienced using Meta Quest 3 virtual reality headsets: Rain Haze II, Solar XI, and Space 201.

"When planning our trip to Finland, we knew we wouldn't be able to bring all our work with us physically due to shipping costs. Following our solo exhibition last year, we wanted to create an archive of our work. Even though virtual experiences cannot replace the impact of physical installations, we believe it is possible to convey the feeling of those installations this way. The VR experience is like a time machine: people can experience an installation that existed on the other side of the world”, says Kun-Ying Lin (@llunc), one of the artists of LuxuryLogico.

Come to experience the VR artworks yourself! INTER-FACE:ing LuxuryLogico is still open this weekend Fri 15-20 and Sat-Sun 12-18.

The exhibition is part of @oulu2026official cultural programme.

The Past Is a Foreign Country saa alkunsa Pohjois-Suomen tervantuotannosta, joka palveli merenkulun ja imperialistisen laajentumisen muovaamia globaaleja markkinoita.

The Past Is a Foreign Country begins with tar production in northern Finland for a global market shaped by maritime trade and imperial expansion. It draws attention to what this history of production leaves behind—not only in collective memory, but also in air, soil, water and forests.
In the video, one of the artists of LuxuryLogico, Kun-Ying Ling (@llunc), tells us more about what the light symbolizes in this work.

Produced on site at AaltoSiilo (@aaltosiilo), the work incorporates music by Lau Nau (@launaulaunau) and Sontag Shogun (@sontagshogun), reworked by Kun-Ying Lin as part of the installation.

Kun astut sisään AaltoSiiloon, tulet ensiksi huomaamaan installaation Wind Field II.
Teos tarkastelee, kuinka luonto itse tulee aistittavaksi teknologian välityksellä. AaltoSiilon sisätiloihin on asennettu automatisoituja audiovisuaalisia laitteita, samalla kun tuulen nopeutta, suuntaa ja ääntä koskevaa dataa kerätään rakennuksen ulkopuolelta. Tekoälymallit muuntavat nämä ilmakehän signaalit laitteiden liikkeeksi ja välkehtiväksi valoksi.
Tuuli – näkymätön luonnonvoima – muuntuu samanaikaisesti dataksi, laskennaksi ja valaisevaksi liikkeeksi. Kuvittelemalla kaukaisen tulevaisuuden, jossa tämä tuttu Maapallon luonnonvoima on kadonnut, teos kysyy, mitä jää jäljelle, kun välitön kokemus luonnosta korvataan sen teknologisella jäljellä.

Näyttely INTER-FACE:ing LuxuryLogico on osa @oulu2026official kulttuuripääkaupunkiohjelmaa.

The moment you enter AaltoSiilo, the first thing you will notice is the installation Wind Field II.
The work explores how nature itself becomes perceptible through technology. A selection of automated audiovisual devices is installed inside AaltoSiilo, while data on wind velocity, direction and sound are collected outside the building. AI-generated models translate these atmospheric signals into the movement and flickering light of the devices.
Wind—an invisible natural force—is simultaneously transformed into data, computation and luminous movement. Imagining a deep future in which this familiar Earthly force has disappeared, the work asks what remains when direct experience of nature is replaced by its technological trace.

LINEA AL SUD! Dialogo con il Mediterraneo is about Mediterrranean music, representing Matera.
Emanuele Rigamonti (cellist) and Loredana Policelli (piano), with live electronics provided by Mirko Macina, built a programme around 20th-century authors like Ravel, De Falla, Bartok, Fazil Say and Paert, in dialogue with a second part of Mediterranean-style improvisations on contemporary movie and theatre soundtracks.
