WE ARE TURNING 2!!!! 🤪❤️🎵🎈🤩 Thank you all for creating so many wonderful memories with us the past 2 years! The friendships we’ve made, the laughs we’ve shared, the tears we’ve shed, and all the music we’ve created together! Those were SOME NIGHTS!! We are counting down to our Halloween session with you this Saturday but also sharing registration details for our Anniversary session that will be happening very soon after! We are so excited! @janetjackson should have been the headline act at the Singapore Grand Prix @f1nightrace Main Stage at the Padang, not the bloody Wharf Stage. She may not be a pop princess of today but legends deserve their flowers. A 50-year career in entertainment. 11 studio albums. A discography of over 300 tracks. 10 Number 1 singles. + a few movie roles for good measure. You want to argue relevance? Kindly refer to the 1.3 million views (update: woke up to 1.7m overnight) on my last reel garnered in less than 24 hours + tens of thousands of shares, reposts, comments and likes. She’s literally the only performer in the world who could lure me away from the air-conditioned comfort of the Paddock Club, and mad respect for the electric energy she brought at SIXTY. In a denim get-up in 30-degree Celsius and 75% humidity + eye-watering haze, no less. Mad, mad respect for this consummate professional. The best part of last night was finally getting to watch Janet in concert together with @aarikalee for the first time. When she last performed in Singapore back in 2011, we weren’t seated together but we waited for Janet after the concert, strategically-positioned ourselves to trail her car and pulled up alongside her blacked-out SUV at a red light stop. Aarik being the hysterical nut she is, kept frantically waving at Janet’s car until she lowered the window enough for us to see her fingers waving at us 😭😭😭 I think the video should still be somewhere on Facebook. Last night also brought back the best bits of our childhood of school holidays at Nan’s in Bayshore where we’d put up Michael and Janet “concerts” in the living room. Aarika was obviously the singer and I was the event organiser/concert promoter. The best memories ever and it meant so much to share this moment together ❤️‍🔥 We miss you much, Nan. and we can see your star shining down on us 💫🥹 all our love, until we’re together again 🫶 #janetjackson #singaporegrandprix #singaporegp #f1nightrace

Didn’t expect the words “stroke-risk” to be part of my health outlook in 2026, but here we are. What started as headaches and was diagnosed as a viral swelling of my lymph nodes last week turned into debilitating, splitting pains in my neck and head that no amount of painkillers could alleviate. Thankful for a GP who sprung into action promptly, getting me an immediate referral to a Neurologist who specialises in headaches the following day. Hearing that I needed to do a brain MRI and a neck CT scan in quick succession was already startling, and when I received my diagnosis of a “left carotid dissection” - essentially a small tear in the inner lining of the main artery on the left of my neck that carries blood to my brain - I was/ still am shocked, to say the least. How did this happen? Well it could’ve been anything, honestly. I could’ve gotten it while working, exercising, getting a massage, carrying eadie, even sneezing?! Basically, from just living life. What followed was me being warded immediately for observation over 48hrs to ensure that I responded well to the course of painkillers and blood thinners that I now need to be on for the next 3-6 months. Life is going to look pretty different now that I’m not allowed to do anything remotely strenuous or stressful, as I need to keep my blood pressure down and hope that the tear in the artery heals itself. No heavy lifting means I can’t even carry Eadie for a while, something she’s expressed much displeasure at. Blood thinning meds also means no alcohol, so that’s gonna be lots of fun. 🙃 Much love to my fam + everyone who’s texted/ came to see me in hosp. (@beavertansy I didn’t get to take a photo of the yummy carrot cake that fed 5 peeps but rest assured you’re included in this!) and big, big love to @dercong for driving up and down the island the past week to get me to my appointments and holding the fort down in my absence. ❤️ I’m discharged and back home with my babies and figuring out this rest and recovery situation. It literally hurts to think these days, so please bear with me if I’m not the most responsive and if my replies are a tad slow. I’ll be back! Till then, Xx 💋

Two Saturdays of hawking our goodies 🥲 Thank you to everyone who came by, said hi, bought a print, sticker, or something we made. Special mention to Miles, who made his sticker-selling debut and may now believe this is a viable career path. We could see how proud he was of his stickers, and were so so touched by how much warmth and love everyone showed him 🥲❤️ Very tired, hearts very full. Would do again. Just maybe not next Saturday. Thank u @heartware.store and @superfuncollective for having us! ❤️ @kjcba_sg for opening up our neighborhood to so many people
