Anaphylaxis? This is all you need to know 🙂‍↕️📝🤣 Explained below👇🏽 E — Epinephrine FIRST 💉 IM epi is the first-line treatment. Don’t delay it for anything else. A — Airway 👄 Watch for tongue/throat swelling, stridor, hoarseness, or worsening breathing. T — Trendelenburg/positioning 🛏️ If hypotensive, keep them lying flat with legs elevated as tolerated. Avoid suddenly sitting/standing them up. A — Antihistamines Help with hives/itching, but don’t replace epi. S — Steroids Not first-line; they’re adjunctive and don’t work quickly enough for the initial reaction. Shout out to my mentor and friend @josceljames — since joining his mastermind a couple months ago, he’s pushed me and helped me grow my brand in ways I didn’t expect. He told me about TRAVCON months ago and I took the chance and went. First conference ever, no idea what to expect (I was seriously asking him if I needed a new suit 😩😂). Night before, I’m spam texting him — nervous, what if this doesn’t go well. As always he told me to drop the expectations and just be myself. And it ended up being one of the best things I could’ve done, for CharAid+ and for me.
