I picked up a fun children’s horror book at @tucsoncomiccon yesterday: IT’S NOT SCARY! by Aaron Alexovich.

Meet Sunny Von Shock, a happy little monster kid living in a colossal castle filled with menacing creatures and nightmarish experiments. When neighborhood kid Milo is dared to ring her doorbell, Sunny is thrilled to finally have someone to show all her wonderfully horrible stuff to!

But will Milo think it’s as awesome as she does?

🖤 I love the idea of introducing kids to horror in a fun, playful way. Building the next generation of horror fans starts somewhere!

This is such a find! 😭🤯🖤✂️When my fiance said he found someone who had the whole run . He jumped on it . 🖤😭he knows how much this is such an awesome find and how much I enjoy anything Tim Burton related . So I’m very excited to see how this creative team is going to represent Edward 🖤✂️🌳 I always wanted to more when it came to his story but never thought into it so much because it was the realization that he will always be alone .. 😭. I like how it’s starting off already and I know I’m super late haha but isn’t that the best part about comics ?! It’s never too late 🖤🔥🙌

Thinking back to earlier this month when we brought Nerds for Literacy to kids in all five of NYC's boroughs. Nerds know better than anyone else how powerful stories can be, so we make sure to put graphic novels, manga, and other high interest titles in the hands of kids in underserved communities. Here are some titles we gave out!

Want to know more? I'd love to chat! Even better, come visit Nerds for Literacy at #ala this year!
