There is greater gravity here, a sense that the person singing these words has lived enough life to understand precisely where they came from and exactly what they mean now. And frankly, that is a much more compelling anniversary present than another predictable nostalgia lap. What makes ‘The One (Lift Version)’ particularly effective is the contrast between familiarity and transformation. The bones of the song remain recognizable, but the emotional center has shifted dramatically. Sack Race With Knives took home two Emmy Awards at the Ohio Valley Emmys! Our team won BEST DOCUMENTARY, and Jordan Barclay took home the award for BEST CINEMATOGRAPHER. Our amazing editor @thomasbernardin was nominated for BEST EDITING.
