Jamaican Sorrel / Hibiscus Jello (what I’m making for my low iron, low ferritin, and fatigue) Shoutout to my Chinese medicine healer @greendragonhealer for the recommendation. INGREDIENTS 3 tbsp dried hibiscus 3 cups water 1 cinnamon stick Pinch of cloves 2 tbsp beef gelatin dissolved in 1 cup cool water (set for 5min) 3-4 tbsp maple syrup (or to taste) HOW TO 1. Boil the hibiscus, cinnamon, and cloves in 3 cups of water for 10 minutes. 2. Meanwhile, stir the gelatin into 1 cup of cool water and let it sit. 3. Strain the tea, then stir in the gelatin and maple syrup until dissolved. 4. Pour into a bowl and chill until firm, about 3 to 4 hours. 5. Enjoy solo or with coconut cream. Wearing @abacaxinyc Madhulika Sharma returns to the landscape that shaped her, exploring the colors, textures, and memories that make home feel like home. Founded by Sheena Sood, ABACAXI grew from a fascination with textiles, travel, color, and craft. For this story, Sheena brings the brand’s natural dyes and handloomed textiles to Meghalaya, where color becomes a point of connection between the clothing and the landscape. Madhulika grew up around her mother’s work with rural women weavers in Somme, where Yarn Glory has spent more than two decades supporting handloom and handicraft traditions and helping women develop as artisans.
