Abbey chose the Blue concept in my Rainbow Photoshoot Roulette — an Andy Warhol/Picasso inspired makeup set with a bit of a mannequin twist. A pantyhose was put over Abbey’s face to add to the uncanny and abstractness. I definitely wanted the editing to feel like blown out film and I think I got it down. We were laughing the whole time because it’s also giving Gladys from Weapons 😂

During the run I liked to joke that, for me, this was typecast patient zero. Though, in all actuality, this was one of the deepest dives I’ve ever taken on crafting thorough characterization, even when the subject was a type of girl I knew extremely well!!! How dreamy, naive, and sincere she is!

I even gave her a star chart ♓️🌞/♋️🌛/♎️⬆️

First and foremost I would like to thank @convergence_continuum because without them I wouldn’t have a theater to call home in Cleveland. Another huge thanks to them, specifically @cmolner @colorguardguy_1986 @klaebainter, for selecting this submission for their current season. This started as a cold pitch in late fall and I could’ve only imagined what would ensue. I had been itching to do this production the millisecond after I walked out of the play space at Ohio University in 2022, astonished from looking into a mirror that reflected back relative BFA experiences for 80 minutes straight. Thank you to @capernoited & @libbygabor for entrusting me with Piper. She was in the good hands of a cradle catholic and a former camp counselor ;) Shoutout to the fabulous four @abbey_marshall @maddie.caprig @lornajpatterson @maddiej_10702 You know I love you all and this experience has given me four new, lifelong friends🫶🏻.
