24 years I’ve been involved in this ‘game’ we call boxing. Inside and outside the ring you have to live and breath it. As the saying goes, ‘do as I say, not as I do’. I made a lot of mistakes during my fighting days, some no fault of my own, others all my own fault. But I think I made those mistakes so that the peoples lives and careers I’m involved in don’t make the same ones I did. We elevate and get better each camp, each fight, each week, each day, each training session. We’re all just striving for that 1% better than last time. It’s a crazy sport this boxing that we all love and adore, but with the correct team around you the possibilities are endless. I’ve achieved a lot during my time as a coach but nowhere near where I want to be. I’ll just keep grinding away working in the dark and see where the story ends, but one thing I’ll continue to do each and everyday is enjoy it the fullest!
