Yesterday, September 16th, our Wings of Florican team completed a camera trapping workshop at Koklabari Seed Farm, led by resource person Abhinav Ashokan(@abhinbin ).

Our volunteers learned how to use camera traps to monitor and protect the Bengal Florican. With these new skills, our team is ready to help save this special bird and its grassland home!

International Elephant Day

My best elephant memories are from Manas National Park where I saw more than 300 elephants in just two days.

With @onevaasa, we are working with local communities in Manas Tiger Reserve to support community-led conservation, and invite a wider audience to participate in the revival story of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We are opening an exploration opportunity for 4-5 people to come join our team in identifying eco-tourism opportunities and design an experience around the reserve.

When the whole family can sing beautifully ❤️

At most weddings, we see dances.
But we chose something different, we chose to sing.
Not just one song. Not just a small performance.
Almost one full hour of us, as a family, singing together like our own little concert.
It’s not something people usually try. But for us, it turned out to be the best decision ever.
The late night practice sessions.
The forgotten lyrics and inside jokes.
The nervous smiles before going on stage.
The cheers, the laughter, the off-notes that somehow made it even more special.
Every rehearsal, every moment on stage and everything in between, we enjoyed it with our whole hearts.
It wasn’t just a performance.
It was bonding.
It was love.
It was memories being made in real time.
Truly one of those moments where we didn’t just attend a wedding. we lived it, together. ✨

A day out in Yakten isn’t just about misty hills and fresh breezes, it’s also about the tiny bug-life stories unfolding around you. The Yellow Coster butterfly, fluttering through the Himalayan foothills, thrives in colonies where its host plants grow, but its bright wings often make it an easy target. Waiting patiently is the Leucauge spider, a master predator with over 160 species across the tropics, its own shimmering colors luring prey into finely woven traps. Together they paint a vivid picture of nature’s balance—where beauty, survival, and the dance of predator and prey come alive in the wild. 🦋🕷️

In Yakten, the spirit of Independence Day began early.
A day before, the women of Yakten performed a traditional dance at the opening ceremony of the Pakyong Sporting Club, organised in collaboration with the District Administrative Centre, Pakyong.

On Independence Day morning, villagers and our now digital nomads hiked through the thickets together to the flag hoisting point. Amid laughter, camaraderie, and deep respect for the nation, the community gathered to raise the tricolour — a heartfelt celebration of unity and freedom in the mountains.
