Sarah & Zach brought friends and family over from the USA for a three-day celebration at Penicuik Estate, and I had the pleasure of capturing the first two days of their pre-wedding celebrations.

There were Highland Games, lunch and drinks by the loch, a few brave dips in the water, champagne in the courtyard and plenty of time simply spent together before the wedding day itself.

Each day was a joy to capture, with dinner each evening bringing everyone together after days that felt relaxed, joyful and full of personality.

Such a brilliant couple of days to capture, and a lovely way to tell the story of everything leading into Sarah & Zach’s wedding at Penicuik Estate.

September, you were a good one. 🍂
Looking back, I feel incredibly thankful for this little life I'm building here in Scotland. Moving from Germany to Scotland was such a big step, and sometimes I still can't believe I actually get to call this beautiful place home.

So grateful, for the lovely brides who trusted me, for my colleagues I got to work alongside, for the new friendships and so many little adventures in between.
I'm especially thankful to everyone who welcomed me into the Scottish wedding industry and I'm so excited to see where this next chapter takes me. 🤍

I'll always encourage you to do things your way, but here's some reasons why I think you should consider a 'first look' and or getting ready together on the morning of your wedding day.

* They still give you both that 'wow you look amazing, I can't believe this' precious moment, but you get to do it on your own terms and in private. With no worries about how you're going to react or look.
* It's a chance for you both to say something meaningful to each other but you can keep it truly personal before your ceremonial vows.
* Your photographer can still be on hand if you wish them to, to capture all of these emotions.
* When you're feeling nervous prior to the ceremony, the one person that will know how to calm those nerves is your other half. Seeing them before the ceremony allows you to feel more relaxed and truly present in it all.
*It's actually really fun for you to get ready together. The anticipation of the day is extended and you can share in all the excitement together.

The best day with these two! Everyone flew from the US to @hedsor for such a special day. Filled with Calla lilies from @seventhheavenevents a Caviar station and so much fun! I also feel a special shout out needs to happen to their bridal party who not only brought the energy. But we’re truly the most supportive and ‘on it’ crew to get anything done!
