Fall Mama Made Market 🍂🧺

Still feeling so grateful for this afternoon and for every woman who showed up, brought something she made, shared her talents, and helped make this event what it was — and a huge shoutout to my co-host, Mandy. I’m so grateful our paths crossed a few months ago and that I’ve had the chance to get to know her. What started as an idea for this market quickly turned into a friendship and a partnership that I’m so thankful for. I truly couldn’t have done this without her!

For the swap, each woman brought 10 identical handmade or homemade items valued around $15 each. We then randomly chose group numbers and did 5 rounds of 2 items each, so everyone had multiple chances to choose from the table and hopefully walk away with a fun variety of goodies.

I loved seeing how different everything was! Homemade food, hand sewn items, baked goods, art, candles, accessories, garden goodies, kids’ crafts, small-business products, and so much more.

Everyone left with a bag full of goodies made or curated by other local women — plus a swag bag packed full of goodness from some of my favorite clean-ingredient brands👏🏻

We also enjoyed delicious light bites and had some pretty amazing raffle prizes donated by incredible brands and local businesses!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make this event so special:

I’ve spent most of my life rushing, forcing, pushing, and hustling… until this past year.

From last October through this July, I experienced a nine-month gestation of sorts… only this time, I was re-birthing myself instead of my sons.

And I changed more deeply than I knew was possible.

But I didn’t become someone different. I simply let go of everything that was misaligned so my true self could emerge.

Relationships.
Work.
Old stories.
Obligations that were no longer mine to carry.

Beliefs about who I needed to be, what success was supposed to look like, and how hard I needed to work to deserve it.

I stopped forcing myself into a life I had outgrown.
And underneath all of it, I found more of ME.

And something else changed during those months:
The kind of women showing up in my life.

Women so secure in who they are that there is room for me to fully be who I am, too.

Women who celebrate my growth.
Who hold me through tears.
Who challenge me to stop playing small.
Who welcome me into their sisterhood with open arms.
Who reflect parts of me back to myself.
Whose own courage reminds me what is possible.
Women who genuinely want to see me rise.

At 44, I am living proof of what becomes possible when we surround ourselves with the kind of female friendships that genuinely support, celebrate, and uplift us.

And there is science behind this, too.

Friendship with other women, connection, laughter, vulnerability, and safety all intersect with oxytocin, a hormone deeply involved in bonding and female physiology.

On September 22nd, I’m hosting a FREE live workshop on money, love and fitness, and why our relationships with other women matter so much, especially in midlife.

Foundations is my four-week, results-driven coaching program designed to:

☀️ Increase energy

⚖️ Demystify body composition

🏡 Uncomplicate nutrition + health, for you, your kids and anyone else in your family

After eight years of coaching thousands of people through health, nutrition optimization, and weight loss, I keep coming back to the same truth:

The basics are not beginner work.
They are lifelong habits that *many* are still skipping.

Intelligent, well-researched women are getting all the labs and buying all the supplements…

But still can’t identify a true protein or properly estimate their TDEE.

Foundations is where we identify + build these basics:

☀️ WEEK ONE: LIGHT + RHYTHM

We start with light because it is one of the most foundational inputs to your biology.

We’ll explore circadian rhythm, sleep, hormones, energy, metabolism, and how the timing of your day influences the way your body functions.

🥗 WEEK TWO: NOURISHMENT

Not just WHAT you eat, but how much, how often, and when.

Food quality AND quantity. Protein. Blood sugar. Meal timing. Meal spacing.

And how to build balanced meals that actually meet your body’s needs, without tracking.

💪 WEEK THREE: MOVEMENT

Strength. Muscle. Walking. Daily movement. Recovery. And building a strong, capable body that supports the life you want to live.

❤️ WEEK FOUR: MINDSET

Because information alone doesn’t create transformation.

We’ll explore habits, beliefs, identity, body trust, your relationship with food, and what it actually takes to make these practices part of your life.

This isn’t about giving you MORE health information.

It’s about helping you understand what actually matters, put the pieces together, and build a foundation you can return to for the rest of your life.

You’ll walk away with more energy.
A healthier, stronger body.
More confidence in how to care for yourself.
Less confusion and more discernment.

I believe health isn’t a destination.
I believe it should create the capacity to LIVE a full, happy, joyful, beautiful life.

As a “guys’ girl” who only had a handful of close female friendships growing up, nothing delights me more in this next chapter of life than forging deep connections with women who are truly supportive.

Most of them are mothers who understand you without any spoken words. They genuinely want what’s best for you. They celebrate your wins. They remind you who you are when you forget. They challenge you with love. They cheer you on instead of competing with you.

I’ve spent so much of my life chasing dopamine.

Achievement.
Productivity.
The next goal.
The next milestone.
The next thing to prove.

But I’m learning that women weren’t designed to thrive on dopamine alone.

We also need oxytocin.

The kind that’s created through trust. Through safety. Through laughter around a dinner table. Through long conversations. Through hugs. Through tears. Through women who make you feel seen, understood, and deeply loved.

I’ve experienced more healing this past year because I finally knew what it felt like to be surrounded by women who genuinely wanted the very best for me.

The reason this has impacted me so deeply is because I’ve experienced the opposite.

I’ve lived in environments where comparison replaced celebration. Where I questioned myself more than I trusted myself. Where I slowly got smaller instead of growing.

When you’ve experienced that, you don’t take healthy relationships for granted.

Now that I know what it feels like to be surrounded by women who genuinely want to see me flourish, there’s no going back.

This is the kind of community I want to build.

Because I don’t just believe our bodies heal through nourishment, movement, and sleep.

I believe they heal through safe relationships, too.

Freedom has always been one of my core values.
I just didn’t know it.

I had never slowed down long enough to identify it, let alone realize how often I was living against it.

Instead, I was overthinking every decision.
Abandoning myself to keep the peace.
Playing small.
Shrinking my voice.
Ignoring my intuition.
Fighting my body instead of partnering with it.

The freedom I was looking for was never something I was going to find by working harder or achieving more.

It came from coming home to myself.

Over the past ten weeks, I’ve experienced a level of inner transformation I honestly didn’t know was possible.
And so much of that is because of the women inside Becoming Her.

Today is our final day together, and my heart is so full.

Thank you, @ciaramburton for creating a space where women can identify what matters most, trust themselves again, and choose a different way forward.

Thank you to every woman in this incredible group for your courage, your honesty, your love, and the way you’ve reflected so much back to me. You have changed my life in ways you’ll probably never fully know.

As I build This Home Body, I’m doing it from this place.

Not from proving.
Not from hustling.
Not from fear.

But from alignment.

Every decision I make now has to honor my values because I know that’s how I’ll be able to give you my best for years to come.

The more I’ve come home to me, the more convinced I’ve become that when one woman comes home to herself, everyone around her benefits.

She shows up differently in her marriage.
She parents differently.
She builds differently.
She leads differently.
She loves differently.

I truly believe empowered mothers change the world, one home at a time.

And I can’t wait to share what we’re building.

Comment PODCAST below if you’d like to listen to my latest episode where I share more about this inner transformation and everything that led me here.

Not all elderberry is the same. 🌿

In this episode of Mothers2B on @chdtv Bella sits down with Lisa from @aboveandbeyondshop to talk about something most people have never heard before: the difference between fresh-pressed American elderberry and the dried elderberries that are commonly used in many products.

Lisa shares how she and her family took elderberry for nearly 10 years before discovering fresh-pressed elderberry, and why that completely changed the way they think about this incredible berry. She explains how her elderberries are organically grown on their family farm, harvested fresh, frozen immediately, and then cold-pressed in small batches to preserve as much of the berry’s natural goodness as possible. 🌿

They also dive into:
🍃 The differences between American and European elderberry
🍃 Why processing methods matter
🍃 Fresh-pressed vs. dried elderberry
🍃 Simple ways to support your family’s immune system naturally
🍃 Why getting back to the basics of health often matters more than chasing the latest wellness trend

We loved this conversation and learned so much, and we think you will too.

Comment LISA and we’ll send you the full interview! 🤍
