What if the thing keeping you from handstands isn’t strength at all?
What if it’s simply the fear of falling!!

Most people never fully commit because they’ve never actually been taught how to fall safely. So the mind jumps in, the body hesitates, and we stay stuck somewhere between wanting to try and being afraid to trust ourselves upside down.

This Saturday from 1–3 PM, we’re working through all of it.

Our Inversion & Arm Balance Workshop is not about perfection. It’s about learning how to move through the fear, safely come out of poses, and transition with more confidence, and.... stop letting the mind keep you small.

We’ll explore:
• How to safely fall out of handstands
• Drills to build confidence and body awareness
• Different ways to transition in and out
• Strength, alignment, and balance
• The mental side of inversions and learning to trust yourself

You do not need to already “have” a handstand or headstand.
You just need a willingness to try.

Sometimes growth looks like wobbling, falling, and of course laughing.
And realizing you were capable the whole time 🤸‍♀️

Today marks the 5-year anniversary of me and my team's fundraising effort for Blood Cancer United @bloodcancerunited (formerly Leukemia & Lymphoma Society). While we didn't 'win', we raised over $54,000 in 10 weeks, and we won in every other sense of the word (we did win Community Involvement award!). Not sure I could muster the energy to do it, but it was honestly one of the best experiences of my life.
.
I get teared up looking at these (especially the one with my nieces and nephews who worked at their grandparents house to make money to donate!). From the 10 people who joined my team, to the businesses who did matching donations, to Will Henry & Shaidzon Beer Company who created a beer for my cause, to the people who came out and donated at my event during Covid!!!, to Dave Sherman who made the most amazing videos for me (RIP Sweet Prince 😢), and many more, the love was overwhelmingly felt.
.
We were able to earmark that money for patient care in honor of John McCauley @koloajoan and Peter Archer @harcherartist (my wife's father who I sadly never got to meet). It was such a special time, and I look back on it often in the best possible way.
.
Thank you Kristen Krikorian @kristenkrian for nominating me! Changed my life. 😊❤️

Curious about arm balances but not sure where to start?
Already exploring them and wanting to refine your foundation? This workshop is for you. ✨

Join Andrea Brayman and myself on Saturday, May 30 from 1-3 PM at The Breathing Barn in Portsmouth for an afternoon of play, exploration, and practice.

We’ll begin with a mini flow to warm the body, build awareness, and connect to breath before diving into the fundamentals that support arm balances including strength, technique, balance, engagement, and confidence.

All levels are welcome. Whether you’re taking your first flight or looking to deepen your practice, this is a space to learn, laugh, challenge yourself, and have fun in community. 🤍

Come ready to explore what’s possible.
