A few of my favorite moments from the 2026 LA Times Food Bowl! 🍽️🔥 🥂 Favorite indulgence: @astrea_caviar. The caviar was easily one of my favorites of the night! 👨‍🍳 Favorite chef moment: seeing @chefroychoi in action. Really cool getting to watch him cook live! 🍴 Another standout: Chef @marcus.jernmark’s food was delicious! 🍹 Favorite drinks: @tikikaihb! I tried a few of their cocktails, and every one was delicious. Great showing from our South Bay neighbors! 🌱 Proudest moment: visiting @hamasakula in the VIP and tasting our Snack and Score wasabi mustard microgreens served with their food. Great seeing Michelle and Chef Hiyoshi—the food was delicious, and we’re proud to supply your kitchen! Why do we make ribs so complicated? Truly — it doesn’t need to be a whole production. Went back to basics with this rack. Sliced in half. Membrane kept on. No binder. Just a clean, honest hit of B’s Rubs Big Squeeze Lemon Pepper. Loaded the PKTX with The Good Charcoal Lump and a block of Bear Mountain Cherry. Set the ribs off to the side and let them ride for a few hours, slow and steady, picking up that cherry‑wood sweetness. Wrapped in foil with AC Barbecue All Day Every Day sauce, brown sugar, butter, and a splash of apple cider vinegar. Forty‑five minutes in the wrap. Fifteen minutes unwrapped. Perfectly tender ribs. Nothing complicated — just good eats.
