Wow…look who pedaled through our little town this morning as part of her 525-mile (!!!) fundraising ride. Yup, it’s TV star 😬 @justmemywifeandfood—Elena in the flesh!
.
It was awesome to meet her for real after years of online connection that started way back in our mutual @atkbattleroyaleclub era…but even more awesome to know that now she is raising funds for the @cacoastclassicbiketour. I mean, can you imagine riding 65+ miles every day for 8 days straight??? And over some seriously hilly terrain, I might add. Speaking as a former marathon runner, I think her commitment is *way* more difficult.
.
BTW, if you’re inspired to join me in supporting her; there’s a donation link in her bio.
.
Fair winds, Elena, and safe travel. Glad we met up in person!

So...guess what came last week? If you guessed, “100 copies of each of issues 1 and 2 of @sos.comicbook,“ then you’re correct!
.
That’s right, @hmbyc now has a copy of each of these two awesome graphic novels for everyone attending our summer youth sailing camp! Not only do they get an award-winning week of learning to sail and exploring our harbor (picking up a healthy dose of marine science along the way), but this summer they’ll leave with two special stories of citizen scientists of all ages making the world a better place....
.
Special thanks to @therealtamararobertson and @inspectorplanet for making this possible. And now, bring on the campers! (Camp begins a week from Monday....)
