I really dragged this series out, oops 😂 Well here you go, 6 months later my friend’s big fat Indian wedding!

Her photographer/videographer was @adilshaikhh and he’s incredible!

The spa and hotel I stayed at in Delhi was the @radissonblu and I’d highly recommend it. It’s definitely a nice little oasis and place to escape the chaos outside!

And finally, it only took @tacobelluk 10 years to finally get to the UK and set up a location that delivers to my flat, but for that I’m eternally grateful because cheesy gordita crunches are life 🙏🏼🌮

Such an INCREDIBLE wedding and the experience of a lifetime. I felt so honoured and grateful to have been invited to celebrate my friends wedding in Kota this December.

I’d been to Indian weddings before in the UK so had an idea of the events and what to expect, but let me tell you, they go ALL OUT in India. I was blown away. Literally felt like I was at a festival with live entertainment, food stands, and music.

The first evening was the Mendhi ceremony (aka henna) with loads of food and dancing. The next morning, events continued with the Haldi (aka pithi) ceremony where friends and family rub a turmeric paste on the bride which is believed to possess anti-inflammatory, healing, beautification, antiseptic, and purification properties, ward against evil spirits and be good luck. Of course there’s more food, music, and dancing! You’re meant to wear yellow to the haldi ceremony.

And guess what, we’re only half done 😂 follow and stay tuned for the second half of the wedding and for more 30+ travel content.

Newcastle had the best Holi celebrations in UK 🇬🇧 !!

There was so much to do in this full day event :
- Bharatnatyam and many other dance performances
- Dance class
- Free food 🥘
- Bhangra on dhol 🥁
- mehandi (Henna art)
- Crafts section
- Holi celebration with Colors 💐

It was a fun packed event with kids of stuff to do !!! I never imagined that a Holi event in UK would be this much fun !!! Infact I’ve never attended any such event in India as well!!
