Creating opportunities isn’t just what I do, it’s who I am 💡

This week felt special. With National Careers Week and International Women’s Day happening at the same time, I had the privilege of hosting the panel “The World of Your Future” at The Careers Arcade.

What stood out to me most wasn’t just the event, it was the young people in the room.

Not the ones who already have everything figured out, but the ones who came to explore, ask questions and simply see what might be possible for them.

And as a woman who once didn’t always feel like those spaces were built for me, standing there and sharing my journey felt personal.

Because sometimes young people don’t lack ambition they lack access, exposure and someone who reminds them that they belong in the room too.

So during a week where we celebrate careers and women, I was reminded why this work matters so much to me.

Young people are ready.
They just need doors to open & that’s why I am here!

I found myself at Number 10. 👀

Here’s the story.

I was invited to run a public speaking workshop Accounted Ltd for a brilliant group of young professionals on a summer internship program.

I was sent the address, and off I went, ready to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders.

And that’s when I saw it.
The door.
Number 10.

I froze. I smiled. I laughed.
To the casual observer, this was the door that leads to power, decisions, and the highest office in the land. A door so iconic it doesn’t even need a street name.

So of course… I took a selfie. 😄

Here’s the twist:
This wasn’t 10 Downing Street.
This was 10 Adams Street a door that just happens to look like the famous one. It was part of the accounting firm hosting our session, and the actual conference room was just a few steps away.

As I chuckled at the coincidence, a thought hit me:

If I posted this photo without context, many people might believe I’d spent the day in meetings with ministers at Number 10. “Wow, Action Jackson is really stepping up!”

And that’s the interesting thing about the internet:
We live in an age where a single image can create an entire illusion. Perception can easily overshadow reality. And if we’re not careful, we start curating a version of life that isn’t true, one selfie at a time.

The truth?
I didn’t meet the Prime Minister.
I spent the day helping young leaders find their voice in a humble conference room.
And honestly? That feels even better than politics. 🙌

We spoke about the nuances of being an effective communicator. How to tell your stories, How to command any room with confidence, How to engage an audience. I pushed them out of their comfort zone and they came away unscathed… 😝

Welldone to you all. All the best for your the future. And if one day you make it to the real No 10 remember Uncle Jackson 😎
