Well, they do come out of the woodwork, and this is a good thing! Here's a nice vid of another Eguro PH6L lathe, and this time I won't add more than what the cool artist, machinist, horologist and machine rebuilder extraordinaire @ace.j_ shares on his post. And it's really an account that you should follow, as he posts stories of sweet machines that don't oft make it on his gallery, and well, he's right in the grain of all the amazing stuff that's happening in the East coast of the US at the moment. So definitely give him a follow!!! And @ace.j_ Thanks for reminding me that you had this vid! :) Tomorrow we'll have another Eguro, just for the heck of it! :P

. . . . . .
Working on the Japanese Eguro mini turret lathe. This one takes 3c collets, and is heavy as hell for its small size.
It only likes working fast. So I changed the pulley ratio from the dc motor upgrade to better suite it. This is at 3800 rpm, and now I can get it up to 5000 rpm.
I’d like to find or make a cross slide. Or make a rudimentary one so I can put a tornado system on it from @eccentric_engineering (I really can’t wait to get one)
Found this one in a shop that made tiny connectors for antennas and tv cables.
Eguro is also still in business in Japan making CNC lathes… I should reach out
I had ordered two new oilers from Europe and got two sintered crappy broke in a day pieces. Guess I’ll have to make my own, or just put the little oilers with no glass windows on it.

just received a surprise package from a very good friend of mine I haven’t seen in a long time. Thank you, @ace.j_. You did an amazing job of capturing the beginning of Sonny’s “boys best friend” story 🙌🏽. A perfect addition to our treasured art collection
