The Thea Roelofsen Legacy Fund continues to honor Thea’s memory by supporting causes that are close to our hearts. Through the generosity of family, friends, and community supporters, the fund has raised over $130,000, with contributions directed to both the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation @achfkids and Kids Cancer Care @kidscancercare. These donations help make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families facing health challenges, while ensuring Thea’s legacy of compassion, strength, and hope lives on.💜

Behind Love for Lewiston is a story of love, loss, and a legacy that continues to inspire 💙

In 2016, Lewiston Olstad passed away from Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), just three days before his six-month birthday.

Rather than spending what would have been his first birthday in a pity party, his family chose to celebrate his life with a dance party. What began as one night of joy grew into the Love for Lewiston Foundation, a movement dedicated to supporting families affected by SMA, funding critical research, and inspiring hope.

Today, the foundation has raised over $4 million, proving just how powerful a community coming together can be.

We're honoured to support this incredible cause through Lemon Light Up on November 16, and to play a small part in continuing Lewiston's legacy.

We are incredibly proud to share that, together, the League of Eternal Friendship raised $10,000 for the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation. We chose to direct our donation to the Oncology research department, a cause that has become especially meaningful to us as several families in our league are facing difficult cancer journeys.

To everyone who donated, sponsored, volunteered, or came out and golfed on the coldest day of the season, thank you.

And to our Super Hero Eddie and all the other kiddos going through their own battles, keep fighting, we love you!

The secret is out 🤫 The 33rd Annual Charity Wine Auction was on Saturday and it will open many doors of opportunity for our community!

It was truly inspiring to see a room full of people come together in support of three incredible causes: @achfkids , @hotchkiss.brain , and @bbbscalgary .

A heartfelt thank you to @willowparkwines for choosing to support mentorship. You transformed your entire building into an unforgettable evening of speakeasy splendour, all in the name of charity.

A $101,164.15 cheque. I still don’t think that number has fully sunk in.

Our Golden Strides team had the opportunity to spend a day in Calgary celebrating what our community made possible, and getting to visit @achfkids together was such a meaningful part of that day.

We dropped off some little Cards of Courage from our friends at @lethbridgewestlions, bringing a little encouragement to families going through something no family should ever have to experience. We also got to tour KidSIM, the hospital’s simulation centre where healthcare teams practise real-life medical scenarios in a safe, hands-on environment so they can be prepared to provide the best possible care for their patients.

We wrapped up our visit by presenting a cheque for $101,164.15 to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation. I honestly don’t have the words for what it means to see a community come together like this.

Golden Strides started with a reason close to our hearts, but it has grown into something so much bigger than us. This money will help support the work being done for kids and families facing childhood cancer, and I couldn’t be prouder of what this team and our community have made possible.

Yesterday, Dr. Cody and Dr. Jacalyn spent the day at a Speed Puzzling Fundraiser hosted by @rubyspuzzlecorner in support of the @achfkids Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation! 🧩💙

We were happy to contribute puzzle box stands for participants and spend the day with a wonderful Calgary community showing off some seriously impressive puzzling skills!

The event raised over $5,000 for a great cause, and Dr. Cody even went home with two winning silent auction bids!

If all that puzzling has your neck, back, or shoulders feeling it, our chiropractic, massage therapy, and physiotherapy team at Hidden Valley Health Centre in Calgary is here to help! 😉
