Last night was more than an opening reception…
it was a statement.

@breatheincolor_ filled the gallery with faces, stories, and moments that deserve to be seen, celebrated, and remembered.

Black faces in Black spaces 🥹 not hidden away, but centered with pride and artistry.

Happy #EventOrganizerDay! Okay, we’re a little late to the party (just found out about this special day!), but we couldn’t miss the chance to celebrate the incredible event organizers who make magic happen behind the scenes.

Thank you @the.oasiscenter for visiting our studio space! We hosted a therapeutic painting activity with the “Girls Can Do Anything” camp participants, including a meditation session and paint activity.

Towards the end of our session, the field trip turned into a dance party! We love seeing the joys of young girls and women connecting, collaborating, and experiencing creative wellness.

Happy Thanksgiving from Breathe in Color and Achieve in Color! 🦃🦃🦃 Today, we’re grateful for the support we’ve received for the Clothing and Toy Drives we’re supporting this season. Your donations will help our homeless in Tallahassee, Florida as well as students at FAMU DRS.

We’re sending a SPECIAL THANK YOU to @browntoybox for donating Museum Arts STEAM Kits. We’re grateful for their contribution, as well as the work they’re doing to end generational poverty and encourage Black excellence!

We also received book donations from our local @barnesandnoble in Tallahassee, Florida. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

A time is always had when it comes to volunteering with @achieveincolor !! I had an exceptionally great time today with the kids at Sabal Palm Elementary, becoming farmers, and planting our own little seeds to grow microgreens 🌱 Honestly I think I had more fun than they did 🫣
