Our dyad on 9/27. Meet your heresiarchs:

Danny Diamond (1st) @fiddlediamond
Born in Belfast into a family with deep roots in traditional music, fiddle player Danny Diamond spent his formative years learning, playing and performing at festivals and sessions around Ireland. Later, he was deeply involved in the Dublin folk music scene as a performer (Slow Moving Clouds; Mórga), archivist (with ITMA, the Irish Traditional Music Archive) and sound engineer (Lankum). In recent years Danny has toured internationally, creating and performing collaborative projects with writers, dancers and visual artists, notably including the award-winning Swan Lake/Loch na hEala with Ireland-based contemporary dance company Teaċ Daṁsa. Currently he performs with St. Paul-based musician and singer Brian Miller in the duo Northern Shores and tours with original Riverdance lead vocalist Katie McMahon. His new solo project, Senior Infants, combines traditional melodies on fiddle and guitar with ambient electronic textures. Danny also teaches with the Center for Irish Music in St Paul, Minnesota and writes software for music libraries & archives.

Adam Kiesling (2nd slide) @achy_sling
Adam Kiesling’s favorite thing to do is play his guitar and back up a good old-time fiddler. He got his start playing bass as a teenager in south-eastern Wisconsin and ended up playing more guitar after moving to the Twin Cities in the early 90s, where he fell down the rabbit hole of flatpicked fiddle tunes à la Norman Blake and the country blues of Mississippi John Hurt. Adam started playing old-time string band music around 2000 and spent some time with the Wild Goose Chase Cloggers and the Mill City Grinders, and also had a stint as the bass player for Pert Near Sandstone from 2010 to 2014. In addition to performing as a solo artist, Adam’s main musical output has been with Corpse Reviver, a Minneapolis-based trio who focuses on the music found on Harry Smith’s Anthology of American Folk Music. His latest solo recording, Down The River I Go, was released in September of 2023.

6500+ followers on the gram? Holy cannoli COOL! Perhaps it’s time for a lil reintroduction post…
Hi!👋 My name is Jillian Rae & in a nutshell I am an indie musical artist. Which sounds super awesome (it is!) & glamerous (it can be but I will admit I am typing this post in my sleep shirt & underwear so make of that what you will). And also, to be real with you & peel back the curtain a little bit— doing this hashtag music life as a career is more like 10 little hustlers in a trench coat. And I suppose for an adhd riddled millenial gal like me, that’s why it works? 🙃😆 SO HEY go check out my music & listen to one of my 4 albums or umpteen singles anywhere you can find music on Al Gore’s Internet™️ (or in the Lincoln my Bye-0 will get you there) + come out to a live show! OR go check out my folk trio @corpsereviverband (the world’s only tribute to Harry Smith’s anthology of american folk music). OR check out my top notch recording studio @clubhousestudiomn (that I built & operate with my hot & talented husband @ejmarti ) for all of your recording / production / finishing / rehearsal needs. OR let me know if you need some baller string parts / vocal harmonies / arrangement work on your next recording. OR hit me up if you’d like to do some 1-on-1 musical study (violin, voice, songwriting, p much all the instruments U don’t have to blow into, pedagogy, mentorship coaching). 🎤🎻🎧 I’m so glad you’re here, in this little corner of the matrix! And hey if you wanna be a super real one, comment & let me know how you found me + help share my work with some friends, will ya? ✨🙏✨

It’s not @blueoxmusicfestival if you’re not moved to tears every day.

Saturday was a stunner. Sets and memories to be talked about for years to come.

Ohh boy I have a lot to share from yesterday, the third and final day of the Blue Ox Music Festival in Eau Claire WI. First up was beloved Minnesota trio Corpse Reviver with their fun mix of songs from the Harry Smith anthology and beyond. Each a talented artist in their own right, it’s such a pleasure when they come together!
