Last week, our co-founder Anete was delighted to host a workshop with @modielifestyle at the intersection of fashion and motherhood.

The event brought together a dynamic group of women and a selected edit of female-led brands to explore how style evolves through motherhood, and the value of a more strategic approach to building a wardrobe.

Last Sunday, we were so delighted to host an intimate workshop with @anetephotographs at the intersection of motherhood and style.

The morning brought together a dynamic group of women to explore how our relationship with fashion evolves through motherhood, the changing priorities that shape the way we dress, and how a more strategic approach to personal style can help us build wardrobes that work smarter, not harder.

Guests were invited to browse, try on, and discover new favourites from a brilliant line up of female-led independent brands featured on our platform, including @nomorenobody_studio, @rencordeza and @acienofficial

At MODIE, we believe that discovering emerging brands should be shaped by real experiences, honest recommendations, and a strong sense of community. It was wonderful to bring that idea to life in person.

Stinging nettles. A weed that grows spontaneously everywhere. One of the most resilient plants we know. Its seeds and leaves used for millennia to heal our body. Though recent history erased any trace of its use as fibre for yarns and textiles. Used for thousands of years in many regions of the world - today we’re rebuilding from scratch the know how to transform it into fibre. We know how important it is to promote biodiversity in natural ecosystems and this can be reflected in the knitting community. Himalayan nettle yarn is surely niche, for now, but it deserves its space in the design world. Using it changes lives of the communities that harvest the plant and helps the Himalayan forest to be resilient.

CIRCADIAN
A capsule collection drawing inspiration from the daily rhythms that govern all life.
The collection brings together Silvia Acien’s cherished, traditional techniques passed down through generations in Andalusia, with Caitlin Maxwell Hughan’s contemporary dye process developed at the Royal College of Art.
The collection unveils 4 accessory pieces that interlace intricate, rhythmic patterns with crocheted forms. Guided by a shared commitment to regeneration and respect for the Earth, the pieces are made using plant-based yarns and all-natural dyes.
Each piece is designed to be worn as part of this ongoing cycle, carrying the story of balance, change and renewal.
