The final finish is only as good as the prep behind it. 🎨

Jobsite prep and proper surface preparation are some of the most important parts of our process. Sanding, filling, glazing, caulking, priming—we take the extra time on the front end because our goal is to deliver one of the best finishes out there.

We’re not just trying to make it look good from across the room. We want the details to hold up when you get up close.

And as you can tell… woodwork hates to see us coming with some glazing Bondo. 😂

Prep it right. Finish it better.

This project was anything but ordinary.

From the very beginning, we knew the finish was going to come down to the details—and a whole lot of prep work. We started by thoroughly cleaning and stripping the existing stained paneling to remove the old sealer, followed by multiple days of sanding and surface preparation to get everything exactly where it needed to be.

From there, we worked closely with our builder’s client to create a custom stain that would “match” and complement the existing woodwork throughout her home. The challenge? We weren’t working with just one type of wood. We had three different wood species throughout the space, each accepting stain differently. It took plenty of testing, adjusting, and patience to create a finish that felt cohesive from one element to the next.

Our team absolutely knocked this one out of the park. Couldn’t be more proud of these guys and the amount of time, patience, and craftsmanship they put into getting every detail right.

Our builder also brought several other elements of this project together, helping turn the entire vision into a finished space we can all be proud of.

Projects like this are a great reminder that the finished product is only as good as the work that happens before you ever see it.

Teamwork makes the dream work. 🤝

Some projects push you to elevate every part of your craft, and this was definitely one of them.

This luxury finish, featuring Amazon Moss by Benjamin Moore, was as rewarding as it was challenging. Achieving a true gloss finish takes far more than simply applying paint—it requires meticulous preparation, attention to every detail, and patience throughout the entire process. Every reflection tells the story of the work that went into it.

The designer had a vision for this space, and we’re honored to have been the team that helped bring it to life. Seeing that vision come together and watching the transformation unfold is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

A huge thank you to the builder for trusting us with this project, the designer for their incredible vision, and the homeowners for allowing us to be part of creating such a beautiful space. Working alongside talented professionals and amazing clients is what makes projects like this so enjoyable.

We’re incredibly proud of the finished product and look forward to the next opportunity to create another one-of-a-kind finish.

The kids and I truly feel like we’ve won the hubby/dad lottery every single day, thanks to this wonderful man. He’d lasso the moon for us if we asked him to. He’s just the absolute best! Thank you, Lord, for the gift of our Jordy!

Behind the scenes of a remodel and where budgets can shift quickly! ✨

Those trenches you see? That’s plumbing and gas being moved. Every time you touch trades like plumbing or electrical, you’re not just changing a layout you’re changing the investment. They are worth the investment as well!

Here’s the simple truth:
If you want to save, work with what’s already there.
If you want transformation, be prepared to move things and fund it.

Having a good contractor and design team isn’t just about what you see in the end it’s about understanding what it takes to get there!

Thankful for my absolute dreamboat of a valentine for 19 years and counting! He’s really just the best and he’s all mine. 💌

Laundry rooms are having a MOMENT lately — and honestly, we love it. 🤍🧺
We’ve had so many conversations around this space recently, and it’s because we’re designing them intentionally from the very beginning (not as an afterthought). A functional laundry room doesn’t start when the cabinets go in… it starts in the planning phase.
When we’re doing spatial design, we’re asking questions like:
✨ What type of washer/dryer do you prefer?
• Stackable
• Top-loaders
• Front-loaders
✨ What’s the inspiration you’re after?
• Does a certain appliance layout lend itself better to the look + function of the space?
✨ How do you actually do laundry?
• Do you lay clothes flat to dry?
• Do you hang items to dry?
• Do you need rod space? Counter space? Both?
✨ Do you need pull-out storage?
Think: hampers, baskets, cleaning supplies, linens, pet items, ironing boards… all the “real life” stuff.
Because the goal is simple: don’t get to the end of a project only to realize the space doesn’t work hard for you.
Work hard now so your laundry room works hard for you later — and so your money is spent wisely throughout the project. 🙌🏼
