One reason I share different meals all the time is because I just know myself, and I like variety. 😂 But there’s another reason you might not know about for why I like switching things up: Variety is good for the gut, too. Our gut microbes interact with the foods we eat, and research has found an association between eating a wider variety of plant foods and greater gut microbial diversity. When I say plant variety, I’m not just talking about the fruits and vegetables you probably think of first. It’s also: Beans.
Oats.
Rice.
Quinoa.
Nuts.
Seeds.
Herbs.
Spices.
Garlic.
Ginger.
— These are all PLANTS. Many of these foods also provide different types of dietary fiber, which our gut microbes can ferment and use to produce compounds that influence gut and overall health. 🤓🙌🏼 So maybe in Tuesday’s taco dinner… add black beans. In Wednesday’s bowl, plan for quinoa and roasted veggies (Ps-Brussels and Squash are perfect for fall!). Thursday gets some walnuts, pears and spinach. And Friday morning has oats, berries and pumpkin seeds with some cinnamon 😋 And somewhere in there, you’re flavoring with garlic, ginger, herbs and spices — to keep your food tasting YUM and keeping your brain saying “hey, we actually LIKE this!” If you tend to eat the same 5-10 foods on repeat, this might be a fun place to experiment how switching it up simply makes you feel — both in your brain (isn’t it more exciting??) AND in your body (do you have more energy or better digestion?). It’s an opportunity to try something new and then actually *pay attention* to how it makes you feel. So… What plant could you add this week that you didn’t eat last week? Your brain might appreciate the novelty. Your gut microbes might appreciate the variety. As a bonus, you might discover some new healthy foods you actually freaking love. And that’s kind of the point of my job 🥰 Do you eat a lot of variety, or are you more of a “same thing every day” kinda person?

No one ever said it will be easy. They just showed you it can be done. If they can, You can. Trust the process. Trust the outcome. Trust the effort. Trust yourself. 💚

I refuse to eat boring food just to look a certain way. Not because there is anything wrong with it — only because it’s wrong *for me* and I know it because I’ve tried it before. (how you eat is none of my business and I promise if you’re happy doing what you’re doing then I’m rooting you on!) That doesn’t mean I eat mindlessly, wing my meal plan, or “hope” for the best. The 10-15% of “non tracked” fun foods I have on the weekends are not the majority. 90% of the time my meals (including preworkout and snacks) are planned, measured, logged, and ENJOYED!!!! I really love eating nourishing food that isn’t boring (as you can see) MOST of the time. 💚 As a coach who is also on my own health path, I want to show what’s possible to the woman who wants both: to enjoy her food AND love the body she lives in. And trust me, you can do and have both. I’ll be honest up front though: it doesn’t come with “hope” or “luck”. It requires planning, effort, and consistency in the basic habits day after day, week after week, month after month… forever. You are the best project you’ll EVER work on. Call me crazy, but I think it’s important to actually enjoy the experience. If you want help figuring out how… Hi 👋🏼 I’m Amanda — and I help women achieve their health goals without abandoning themselves or their families in the process. I’m so glad you’re here!

You don’t need another workout plan. You already know that moving your body would make you feel better. The problem isn’t a lack of information, it’s what happens after the initial motivation wears off… When work gets busy, your kid is sick, you’re tired, or miss 3 workouts and suddenly convince yourself you’ve “fallen off” again. Here’s the mindset shift I want you to adopt: You don’t have to become a completely different person to become consistent. You just have to stop expecting yourself to be “perfect”, because nothing is and it never will be. Consistency is built when you learn how to keep showing up—even when it’s slower than you want, messier than you planned, and looks different from week to week. The strategies that really matter: You learn to keep promises to yourself. You create accountability instead of relying on motivation. You plan ahead for the version of you who will eventually be tired, busy, stressed, or completely uninterested in working out. Instead of letting “no plan” derail your progress, you become someone who always “just figures it out”. She doesn’t quit! *That is the work I love helping women do.* It’s not about the exercises or the macros for me, it’s helping you get out of your own way long enough to actually do the things you keep saying you want to do. You just need to become the woman who keeps coming back, who uses the tools, and adjusts instead of abandoning herself. Start by deciding that even slow progress is better than constantly starting over. If you’re ready to stop being the version of yourself who keeps quitting and start becoming the version who follows through, my next habits group is launching after Labor Day. Leave “READY” in the comments and I’ll send you the details.

If you keep thinking you need to make some HUGE change... Maybe that’s exactly why you keep ending up back at the beginning. Real change usually doesn’t happen when you decide to change everything at once — It happens when you choose one small thing, then keep choosing it.. Again. And again. And again. Until one day, the thing that once felt hard starts to feel normal. You stop saying, “I wish I had her ___” — instead you’re obsessed with becoming the best version of YOU: One promise kept. One choice at a time. One day at a time. And honestly? The next few weeks (or years) are going to pass whether you decide to do things differently or not. To the woman ready become someone who actually follows through... changing her entire life starting with one small choice… I’d love to help you. My next 3-week habits challenge is starting in 2 weeks (9/7). This is your opportunity to choose one meaningful change and finally give yourself the coaching, accountability, and community to practice it long enough to build some momentum. If you’ve been watching and waiting for the right time, this is your sign. Send me “READY” and I’ll send you the details. 🤍

I have been reverting to meals I know and love that are quick, simple, and stress-free — but still do not require the drive through or take out. When I posted my egg roll in a bowl on my stories last week I had a flood of DMs asking for the recipe, and when I went to my cookbook to screenshot it, I realized it wasn’t in there…
So beyond sharing it here, I’m also going to be adding it to my “Volume 3” along with a few NEW additional recipes! Egg Roll in a Bowl Serves: 4–5
Ingredients * 1 lb lean ground turkey * 1 (12 oz) bag coleslaw mix * ½ medium onion, diced * 1–2 cloves fresh garlic, minced * 1 tsp olive oil * 2 tsp sesame oil * 2 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce, to taste * 1 tsp rice vinegar * 1 tsp ground ginger (or fresh ginger, if you have it) * 1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup, optional * sesame seeds, for topping * Cooked brown rice, for serving Instructions 1. Sauté the aromatics: Heat 1 tsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and diced onion and sauté for 2–3 minutes. 2. Brown the turkey: Add the ground turkey and cook, breaking it apart as it browns, until fully cooked. 3. Add the vegetables: Add the entire bag of coleslaw mix. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is softened but still has a little texture. 4. Season: Add sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and ginger. Stir everything together and cook for another 1–2 minutes. Add honey or maple syrup if you like a slightly sweeter flavor. 5. Serve: Spoon the turkey and cabbage mixture over cooked brown rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Easy family-friendly tip: Serve the rice and turkey mixture separately so everyone can build their own bowl. Add extra soy sauce or a little sriracha to the adult portions if you want more flavor or heat.

I’ve been back to work now for a little over a week and my next 3 days are extra travel time, long days of professional development, and I’m just tired. On top of that, I have a goal to get our whole family back to having a weekly plan for meals after winging it for 4 months and letting my 4 year old eat his preferred foods for basically 2 years straight. 🥴 Some might call me crazy, but I prefer to be an example of what’s possible for busy parents, especially working moms who feel like they just don’t have an “end date” in sight for when life will slow down so they can’t figure it out. The truth is, friend, it’s not slowing down. We either give it our effort now, even if it’s not going to be perfect or pretty (and it rarely ever will be even if we had more time)… or we keep delaying. I’m over my own excuses. But I’m also not taking any judgment or opinions from anyone who has no idea what it’s like to be a working parent right now — and I hope you take that message to heart, too. We are all doing our best with what we have right now — OR if you know you’re not, then I hope this inspires you to do something different for yourself, amidst the difficulty. Because you CAN… and I can tell you that even the tiniest actions will give you momentum, self-trust, and confidence to keep going. I’m rooting for you. xo, Amanda

Hello to my fellow parents who get that it’s just not the same for us when we have kids! Does it mean we have to skip workouts? No. Does it mean we have to stop taking care of us? Absolutely not. But it absolutely takes a lot more effort and grit than it does for people without children. If you get it — let’s follow each other here and keep it real as we move toward our goals! 🫶🏼

One of the reasons I’m so excited about my next accountability group is because I’ve already seen what happens when women have a place to focus on one small change at a time together. I ran a group like this back in 2023 called “Me First Mornings”… and now *Reclaim Your Routine* is a new 21-day habit-building experience for women who are ready to find their rhythm again as summer winds down and life starts shifting into a new season… This is not a fitness OR nutrition “challenge”, and you are not going to be asked to completely overhaul your life… Instead, you’ll get clear on what you actually want by choosing ONE meaningful habit to focus on, and spend three weeks practicing it with the support of a community of women doing the same thing. You’ll check in daily, celebrate your wins, learn from the days that don’t go as planned, and build evidence that you really can follow through… Whether you’re a mom getting ready for your kids to head back to school, a teacher preparing to return to the classroom, or simply someone who feels ready to find a little more structure again, this group is your opportunity to stop feeling behind and start intentionally building the routine that supports the woman you want to become. One habit. Three weeks. A community of women. Let’s reclaim your routine — one small promise at a time. Together.

Drop “RECLAIM” for info on how to join us.
