Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for placing me in a position of leadership on this team and for the privilege to step onto this field today.

Lord, as I stand behind center, I ask for Your ultimate protection over my teammates. Look over my offensive line as they battle in the trenches, and guard every receiver and back as they face the violence of the defense. Please Lord, may we enter this competition with clear eyes and a full heart. Keep both teams safe from injury and protect us from harm and trauma.

Clear my mind of fear, doubt, and distraction. When the defense closes in and the pressure rises, grant me Your peace and a fearless spirit. Give me the vision to see the field clearly, the strength to execute flawlessly, and the God-given courage to command this game as a fearless playmaker.

Help me lead this offense in Your image. Let my words uplift my teammates, let my composure reflect Your peace, and let my integrity show Christ’s character through every snap, no matter the outcome.

May my leadership and my play bring glory to Your name.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.

Amen.

Football is truly a game of inches. Sometimes the play doesn’t go your way. Just barely tipped - enough to throw off the trajectory of the ball - incomplete pass. But I promise you, I love every single second of the battle. Grateful for the game of football and blessed beyond measure to play this game alongside my brothers at Saint Andrews School.

I learned a lot this week playing against Chaminade Madonna - one of the best Teams in the country. Being in 8th grade and having the opportunity to play against this type of talent is a blessing.

The outcome wasn’t what we wanted but it was a great experience. Time to double down and work harder. 1% better every day. 🏈🏈🏈
