@dadageek and @fuseboxlive Present: VOLUMES by Ezra Masch December 11 - 13, 2026 4 performances over 3 days Discounted online presale and student tickets available All ages Tickets and more info in the @dadageek bio VOLUMES is an immersive audio-visual installation and performance series created by multi-disciplinary artist @ezramasch Using live instrumental sound, the ongoing project activates architectural-scale, site-specific lighting environments in performance spaces across the US and abroad. In each setting, local musicians and composers explore the connection between sound, light, and space. The interplay shapes each performer’s creative process and changes how the audience perceives sound and image. This December, Masch will build a brand new interactive VOLUMES installation at dadaLab in East Austin. Over three days, the series will feature collaborations with Texas-based artists including @lunarraemusic, Sometimes A Legend, @jamesalexadkins, @adam_c_jackson, @crazy_pavilions, @thorharris, and @btempdrum Since its debut, VOLUMES has been installed in museums, galleries, and unconventional spaces across the US. Past presentations include the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, where 66 drummers played the lights over a month-long run; Icebox Project Space in Philadelphia; Co-Lab Projects in Austin, where the installation filled a 40-foot concrete culvert; the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond; and the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in Omaha, a four-month exhibition in which each performance was recorded and layered into the installation. Each version is built for its site, so no two look or sound the same. The newest iteration of VOLUMES at dadaLab will feature new instruments/interactions, along with new approaches to mapping sound with color. #audiovisual #immersiveaudio #lightingdesign #dadageek

'Change the Wind' is out. Like most records, it represents a lot more people than the name on the cover. A huge thank you to Eric Doob, Takuya Kuroda, Urian Hackney, Morgan Guerin, Esperanza Spalding, and Adam Jackson for lending your musicianship to these songs. Every contribution made the music more itself. Thank you to Jamire Williams for the artwork, and Megan Stacker King for the photographs, both became part of the record’s identity in ways that are hard to separate from the music. Thank you to Juanfe Rehme for the pre-master and Dan Millice for the master. Quiet work, done exceptionally well. And thank you to Western Vinyl and Universal Music Japan for believing in this record and helping it find its way into the world. Making a record is one thing. Getting it to another pair of ears is something else entirely. I’m grateful to everyone who helped make both possible. I hope you enjoy Change the Wind.

Minor diversion from Progger singles! A week from today, on July 15, I'll be bringing a seriously top-tier group of musicians to @monksjazz – Bruce Saunders on guitar, Sean Giddings on piano, Daniel Foose on bass, and Adam Jackson on drums. We'll be playing a stack of my original tunes, mostly written within the past few months. Foose, Adam, and I are out playing nothing but funk and hip hop all this week so there might be a little extra grease on this jazz, might not have a choice about it. Thanks to Monks and the Austin Jazz Society for helping make this happen!
