Time for a revisit to the newly created engine 44 of the westside! Engine 44 is a- (F80040) - 2012 Spartan Metro Star EMFD 10" RR / Smeal (2000/500/30B) (Ex-Engine 38) Engine 44 was started on july 5TH 2025 to accommodate new growth and development of the dixie river area and the creation of a new large scale river district neigborhood of west charlotte an area right next to Charlotte douglas international airport and the western side of the north and southbound directions of I-485 in battalion 8's zone. Engine 44 used the former engine 38 and temporarily ran out of station 43 until it's temporary fire station was built and will remain in that structure until the new fire station 44 is completed right next door a building identical to station 45. The area engine 44 now serves was formerly an area previously served partly by the west mecklenburg and steele creek fire departments before being turned over to CFD. By next year in 2027 engine 44 will be replaced by brand new pierce engine believed to be delivered in march of 2027. At least from me this is probably the last you see of the soon to be replaced engine 44 in pictures! Enjoy the best captures of engine 44! For the next engine company in the 40's its engine 43 of south charlotte and a personal favorite! Battalion 3 Engine 43 professionally known " the night raiders" is a- (F87772) - 2020 Spartan Metro Star EMFD 10" RR / Smeal (2000/500/30B) Engine 43 serves as a single engine company covering a 9.7 square mile radius including parts of Southend, Engine 43 was created to absorb parts of station 2's area when the station officially opened on october 10TH 2020. Station 43 is also home to it's cross manned rigs tractor drawn US&R 1 & 2. Engine 43 mostly takes on medical calls and MVA's with it's direct proximity to I-77. For the longest time I didn't really get good captures of 43 and having to deal with it back and forth in reserves but I really like the way they came out! Enjoy these Re-Captured shots of engine 43! For the next engine to post it's engine 42 of the east side! Battalion 4 Engine 42 "professionally known as "raiders of the eastside" is a- (F88552) - 2021 Spartan Metro Star EMFD 10" RR / Smeal (2000/500/30B) Engine 42 alongside the individually staffed engine 65 /  Battalion 4 respond in a 5.45 square mile response area alternating calls between the two engines MVA's / Medical calls and more. Station 42 was originally a single engine and battalion station when opened in january 30TH 2012 only having one replacement before getting this current engine in 2021, On june 30TH 2018 station 42 got the addition of engine 65 created to accommodate rising response times and growth in this part of east charlotte making this firehouse the only CFD station to have dually staffed engines; Together they serve 20,000 residents across 11,000 plus households. Station 42 has about three patches one for the original station 42 apparatus order and the second patch for the new arrangement that includes engine 65, that patch was inspired by the former logo of the late eastland mall from 1975 to 2010 and enventually demolished in 2013 after being a key staple in this area it's now officially redeveloped for apartments and other arrangements planned for the area after dealing with years of undecisiveness for the land; Engine 65's patch is inspired by Spanish culture, featuring a Day of the Dead holiday skull wearing a firefighter's hat and embroidering the engines nickname in spanish language. More on that in engine 65's post. After dealing with quality issues here is the very best pictures for you of engine 42! Enjoy! Time for another rig camera quality update in the making it's Engine 19 of South Charlotte! Battalion 7 Engine 19 professionally known as "the lone rangers" is a- (F87769) - 2020 Spartan Metro Star EMFD 10" RR / Smeal (2000/500/30B) Engine 19 serves as a single engine company in South Charlotte handling mostly medical calls and MVA's and is part of Battalion 7. Engine 19 serves a 9.62 square mile radius, located on sardis lane just off Providence road the serve 26,000 residents and serve 9,4000 households and in 2025 station 19 responded to 2,250 calls for service! Leading up to these captures engine 19 finally returned back to service after being OOS for months being in between reserve engines making it a bit tough to get updated pictures of it, it took about three tries that day to get you these captures i even got a response clip coming soon for you later this week! But until then enjoy these expertly crafted camera shots of it! Like / Follow For More / Re-Share! 🚒🚒🚒🚒 . . . . #adamdalmation #charlottefire #firetruck #fireapparatus #firebuffing

For the next post it's Haz-Mat Engine 13 of the central west part of charlotte! Battalion 3 Engine 13 Profesionally known as "Flirtin With Disaster" is a- (F89461) - 2023 Spartan Metro Star LFD 10" RR / Smeal (2000/500/30B) Engine 13 alongside ladder 13 and Haz-Mat 13, serves a 7.01 square mile radius comprised of residential neighborhoods and industrial properties with a significant concentration of higher hazzard occupancies. This station arrangement was created after the 1982 Baxter-Harris chemical fire i believe to create a quicker more efficient response. Station 13 became charlotte's third Haz-Mat station with the others being stations 32 and 34 34 on the other hand does not have a ladder company. These Haz-Mat stations are also mutual aid responders that respond all over mecklenburg county in the CFD response area and even out of county areas as well that have mutual aid agreements with CFD. Unlike similar style engines the three I mentioned above have specialized extended compartments for hazmat gear. When not responding to Haz-Mat calls engine 13 and ladder 13 handle fire / medical calls for their area. In 2025 station 13 answered 6,500 calls for service, Station 13 has been serving the thomasboro hoskins area in charlotte since 1962! Engine 11 will be replaced sometime next year by one of the new pierce engines expected in the new year.
