POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Chosen for National Simultaneous Storytime 2026, LUNA ROO THE KANGAROO BALLER delivers a high energy story that will have you cheering like you’re in the stands.

Rookie Captain LUNA ROO leaves nothing on the pitch as she steps up to lead FC Outback in a thrilling face-off against Bush United.

A story that is heartwarming and gives an empowering message that grit, courage, determination, and teamwork are a winning combination.

TRICKSHOT HARRI THE CHEETAH WORLD BEATER is yet another great picture book for young readers in the Animal World Cup Series.

Harri is an exceptionally talented star cheetah playing soccer for Jungle FC. He scores four goals in the first half against the tough Safari Stars, believing he can win the entire match alone but when his father reminds him that there is “no I in team,” Harri laughs it off.

An engaging and positive story with a message about sharing, collaboration, and realizing that a true champion relies on everyone just not themselves.

Both books are very entertaining and illustrations by @jakemintonillustration are vibrant and bold catching the excitement of the game. Eye catching to all who love sport, animals, competition and especially soccer.

3 beautiful weeks in Sydney with my beautiful fam 💛

Watching Luna and Lukas become the best of friends (most of the time) 🫣 was just magical… lots of lovely home cooked meals from Ads, 1 mums n dads meal out, 1 girls night out, too many bottles of wine to count, a few IPA’s, trips to Manly and Watsons Bay, a footie match, 4 amazing days Lukie sitting, sleepovers, movie nights, lots of steps, 1 lost and then found scooter, daily Yo Chi’s, a 1st birthday for Remy, and lots of family time = 1 very happy trip to Sydney 💛

What we enjoyed about READY, STEADY, GOAL!:
* Firstly, we are suckers for rhyme, so any story that is read aloud to us (with rhyme!) is a winner in our eyes.
* Secondly, we thought it was quite clever to utilise some basic soccer terms, such as trap, turn and dribble.
* Thirdly, the illustrations were excellent. (Plus, we loved the soccer net end papers!)
* Finally, as huge soccer fans (of our own team - Blacktown Workers Soccer FC - and the two teams we barrack for, the Western Sydney Wanderers and Blacktown City FC), we think every kid needs this book on their shelves as they grow up with the beautiful game!

What we liked about TRICKSHOT HARRI:
* Firstly, we are huge fans of rhyme, so this made for an excellent read aloud story at bedtime.
* Secondly, we are also big football fanatics, so anything soccer related (especially after the World Cup) is a hit with us.
* Thirdly, we loved how the emphasis was on the teamwork, and that Harri was able to share the ball and not always seek glory.
* Finally, we are enjoying how this series of picture books is focussing on a football position and a lesson.

Part two

Is there room for both??

Emma said she was okay with me taking a photo

Maybe because of Emma’s size I feel she might not be suited for rugby -etc

See part one first of this reel

This is my pitch - I want to write a PB or MG called - which I could write in one month.

The Best of Both Worlds -
Bun Heads vs Braid Heads

Can dance and Rugby exist at the same time? Bella is about to find out…

Ready for the Rugby World Cup next year for the boys and 28/29 for the girls?

I’d love to hear your thoughts !?
