CEMC - man what a story. I rolled up a volunteer meeting in the fall of 2024, knowing nobody there, to see about getting plugged in.

Writing an guest article turned into moderating the first ever panel at the first ever CEMC (2025). That evolved into becoming director of marketing and leading all music bookings for CEMC 2026, turning a weekend volunteering into a full blown job I was working on daily for the past six months.

Those long hours helped to create some of my most treasured friendships, gave me incredible industry experience, and instilled a renewed appreciation for the special community this city has.

The path forward in both entrepreneurship and the music industry is never straightforward, so living at the cross section of the two has been a proper shitshow at times - but damn, I have a feeling I'm going to remember these days fondly.

We did it. CEMC 2026 exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you for coming out, being engaged, and making the Chicago electronic music community the very, very special thing that it is.

The team is floored, very happy, and was so exhausted that this recap is coming two weeks late... 😅

Everywhere we looked people were diving into connection, education, and inspiration. From the producer/DJ Elevated Academy room, to the panel auditorium, to the vendor village - you all explored every corner of the Ramova and found every sidequest we had hidden with care.

An experience like this takes dozens of people to create - from our sponsors to volunteers, DJs to panelists. Candidly, the financial result isn't what we were looking for - we barely broke even and the event was built on hundreds of hours of unpaid labor from our leadership team that we were hoping to compensate after a successful conference.

If you are in a position to give, and want to help us survive long enough to present CEMC 2027 - your donation would mean the world to us. We are a non-profit striving to give Chicago a one of a kind, multi-disciplinary conference alongside year-round educational events.

You can donate at the GiveButter link in our bio, thank you so much.

There’s no shortage of conversations around AI right now. Some think it’ll bring a new era of technological progress, while others fear the potential negatives far outweigh the positives. The creative community at large has responded with strong pushback, fear and resistance against the reduction of humanity in the arts.

Announcing our second panel for CEMC 2026: The Human Edge: AI, Tech, and Future Proofing Your Career

Full conference tickets are on sale now 🎟️ a full day with panels, workshops, vendors, activations and a beautiful community deeply passionate about electronic music - link in bio

See you April 11th at Ramova Theatre

Feeling the love after my birthday weekend and ready to jump into the world of my new track, “Will It All Be Worth It?”. I sent this demo to @galleryrecs on a whim and much to my delight they decided to scoop it up. I discovered the label through their releases with @pgprettygrl and @human_movement (obviously big fan of both) and am so proud to have landed a track with such a great crew.

If you’d like to help this one cut through the noise, you can pre-save the track using the link in my you know where.

Oh, and if you’re wondering, the answer is YES, it will all be worth it!

33! Reflecting on my thirties so far, I feel they have been much too serious. This year, I’ll be seeking out frivolity, embracing cringe, and eschewing responsibility.

Also, I am excited to announce that my track, “Will It All Be Worth It?” will be coming out next week on @galleryrecs. More details to come but, if you want to do something cute for me (it’s my birthday!), you can pre-save it with the link in my bio.

✨Joluca Update ✨

For almost 10 years, Joluca has been the ultimate collab. From humble beginnings in the Night Vision studio to releasing over 80 originals and remixes, and festival performances across the continent, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built together.

Looking to the future, we’ve been noodling, and have decided to make a change, namely, this two-man portmanteau will now be a one-man show. For the time being, Dave will be taking the reins on all things Joluca while Adam step back to focus on his solo project, @adam.after.hours

Don’t worry, it’s not dramatic and we’re very much still bruvs – we are just ready for a switch up. As far as Joluca goes, assume that you’ll be getting a double dose of Dave on stage, in the studio, and here on socials.

Thanks for all the love over the years, we love you right back. ♥️
