Ch-ch-ch-changes! ⚡

Well, here we are. Another evolution!

If you’ve been around a while, you’ve seen us through a few transformations. From 9 Main to 9 Mobile, through a pandemic, to The Po Cafe, and now The Cutler Collective.

But looking back, it all makes perfect sense.

The Po was never just a café. It was a gathering place for neighbors, artists, writers, musicians. We opened exhibiting and selling art. We organized events, celebrated poetry, and made some extraordinary connections.

One of those connections began during Washington’s first annual Poetry Month, when I reached out to a poet named Robert L Arnold (@defiance13_). A poem became a reading. A reading became a friendship and a collaboration. And that collaboration became a couple books, with another on its way from a major publisher.

Meanwhile, the art never stopped. From my family’s first Art Walk at Flirtation Farms to the walls of The Po, our fall Art Walk on the lawn, and most recently an unfinished Bethlehem barn transformed into a gallery in six days, the ideas just kept coming.

When we closed The Po, I told you it wasn’t the end.

I meant that.

Welcome to The Cutler Collective.

We’re building a creative business around art, books, exhibitions, publishing, and collaborations that bring people and ideas together.

You’ll still see some familiar faces, the farm, the flowers, and probably a little bit of everything in our stories. But this page is now home to the work of The Cutler Collective and the creative people who make it possible.

To everyone who’s been part of this journey, thank you. And to the artists, writers, and dreamers out there, we’re just getting started.

Same spirit. New chapter.

Stay with us.

We love when our local authors visit! 💫

Poet Christine L. Adams stopped in today to sign books for us, including her newest poetry collection, “Breaking Bread.” Organized like a French menu, this meal of poetry is full of whimsy, thoughtfulness, and observational truths.🥖🥐

We will have autographed copies of “Breaking Bread” as well as “Setting the Table in the Age of Reason.” Grab yours today!

Artists celebrate America 250 in true small town spirit! Ed volunteers his carriage, decked out in lanterns, for the @kenthistoricalsociety crew to ride in Kent's Lights & Liberty Parade. We won 'Most Spirited' float, and passed out many copies of the Declaration of Independence! Connecticut is home to four of the signers; Roger Sherman, Samuel Huntington, William Williams, and Oliver Wolcott! HUZZAH!

@thepinkhousect and @marina___munoz hosted @litchfieldmagazine in West Cornwall this past Thursday evening in celebration of our spring garden issue. Writers, photographers, clients, staff, friends, and neighbors all gathered out on the patio to celebrate a fantastic May/June issue. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making this special issue and to those who came out to celebrate with us. 🩷#community

This morning was powerful.
Honored to share the stage with such incredible poets at the Poetry Café during the Montclair Literary Festival. Every voice brought something real. Every line reminded us why poetry still matters. Grateful to be part of the movement—spreading truth, healing, and connection through words.
