Hey so I have seen this post being shared several times and this is wrong information. Yes those installment accounts can cause some frustration but I haven’t denied anyone because of them.

My brief explanation.... Klarna pay in 4 doesn’t show on your credit report just the term loan. Affirm does show on the credit report. Most companies see you have Klarna (and other installment payment plans) from your bank statements. The short term ones don’t report.

When I see these at preapproval (one of many reasons why it’s important to be fully preapproved before looking for a home) we make a plan so we don’t have to count the debts. It’s really just additional documentation or arranging to pay it off. Shouldn’t be a deal breaker majority of the time. I haven’t had one denied because of it AND I SEE THESE A LOT

If you have concerns about these types of accounts reach out to me so I can walk you through it and get you Big League Approved. #bigleagueapproved #HowToBuyAHouse #Klarna #preapproved #mortgagetips
