My type of therapy 🥹🫶🏾

Running. Dancing. Laughing until my stomach hurts. Being outside. Feeling the sun on my skin. Touching grass, literally 😂. Moving my body while I train for a marathon. Being surrounded by Black joy and good people.

As a mental health professional, I’ll always advocate for therapy when you need it, but I’ll also advocate for building a life that supports your mental health outside of the therapy room.

Movement. Community. Nature. Sunlight. Friendship. Play. JOY.

Mental health care can look like a lot of things. Sometimes it looks like this. 🥹☀️🌳🏃🏾‍♀️💃🏾

As always it’s a highlight of my summer being able to capture so many beautiful brown people out in Brooklyn enjoying the weather amongst good company. Ready for the next day in the sun.

Per usual, posting my birthday a year later. It’s a tradition at this point 😅 but genuinely so grateful for @se7endaze_ & my New York community for making it ridiculously lit. This year, I’m taking it to @soundsofeastafrica 🥂🌍
