The room is going to be on fire! 🔥

I’m honored to be a featured speaker at the Get Going Girl Summit, where we’ll reset, re-center, and re-emerge higher.

I’m bringing a hard truth to the stage: you can’t pivot with poise while you’re still abandoning yourself.

I’ll be sharing my RETURN framework, and the path I built to come home to myself after years of overgiving. You’ll want to be in the room for this conversation.

If you’re ready to stop pouring out and start coming back to you, come get the insight, energy, and tools to move forward with purpose.

Join us November 5–7 in the Washington, DC area.

Grab your ticket: https://g3summit.live/earlybirdsummit/2026?am_id=marya6957 (linked in bio)

Come with me to the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation 55th Annual Legislative Conference! It was a wonderful few days of engaging panels, policy discussions, and, of course, parties. But in between moderating five panels, trying to catch others, and even a little partying, I got the chance to catch up with freedom fighters from various industries, including @revdrrobertturner, @allergyasthmahq & @bookersquared! At the end, Elizabeth leaves us with a gem that you surely don’t want to miss. Check it out!

Leaving Detroit the same way I came in: With a Mean Walk and a Purpose..

I wanted to give the biggest thank you to All who came out (some not shown) while I was in Detroit to show love and support for me and My Daughter.

It was a decent 6+ year run…Now I gotta run…Off to Alabama where I will keep all dearly close to my heart and not forget to Detroit gritt. I love and appreciate each person. You left a foot print on my walk in this life. See ya again soon 😘🥹🫠🙌

Lets see what else God has to flip for me. All praise to him. #whatupdoe

I see I need to take it up a couple notches now that I’ve reached the quarterfinals. This @mrhealthandfit competition has been quite a life lesson. Things aren’t always what we think they are…or they are that but much more. This competition is clearly not just about how “healthy and fit” you are. This competition is about that and how do you interact and engage with your community. How do you deliver messages and inspire? How do you show that you live up to what health and fitness means to you? How determined and disciplined are you with the process? Also, how do you communicate the mission of the competitions partner @bepositivefdn and all the work they do in supporting children and families fighting cancer?

Engaging with ig this consistently is new for me, but I have embraced it, not just for this competition but for my own personal and business growth. I want to continue to learn from those around me. If my ig and Facebook followers are seeing my posts/stories and not taking 30 secs to vote, I see that as an opportunity. I have questions for you if you read this far…
…what are you inspired by? What does it take for you to click a link and support a cause? And please, if you have a moment, I would love to see answers.

If you are inspired, go to my bio/stories and vote, and while you’re at it send the link to your folks. Votes are free but if you want to support @bepositivefdn and help families battling cancer while supporting me you can make a donation. Thank you in advance for your time. Much love❤️

“Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others.” — Jonathan Swift

Often, a spark of a vision lands in my body before it ever makes sense in my mind.
And somehow… my body believes it can be real.

That’s been the story of my life — the big leaps, the quiet risks, the moments where I moved before I had proof.

On April 21, 2022, I gathered people for one of the first times to talk openly about healing. I had the vision — but it was Daryl Howard who hosted the space and helped bring clarity to what I could see but hadn’t fully shaped yet.

Daryl didn’t just moderate a conversation.
He leaned in.
He asked the questions that sharpened the edges.
He helped take the hazy picture in my mind and turn it into something others could see, feel, and step into.

I invited guests to read a recent blog post I’d written — “Shine Bright Like a Diamond” — and join us in conversation about the power and pain of living as light… and the cost of being dimmed.

What I didn’t know then was that this moment would become a catalyst.

It connected people who believed in me with actions that moved the vision forward.
It turned writing into practice.
And it rooted my healing in what I now name clearly: the cycle of socialization — understanding how we’re shaped, silenced, and slowly taught to abandon ourselves… and how we reclaim our way back home.

This work was born from pain.
But it birthed language, tools, and community.
And it continues to offer pathways for coming home to ourselves — again and again.

Grateful for Daryl Howard (Doc) for hosting this space and helping my vision come into focus.

This moment mattered.
The questions mattered.
The way you held the space mattered.

The evolution and revolution of healing continues with new visions on the horizon.

Keep following me for the unfolding and more ways to become empowered as we stand in our authenticity and truth. 💪🏽✊🏽
