POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

trend or timeless? the fringe edit.
our verdict: timeless.

it’s already moved through every corner of design, and it keeps getting more refined.

for the wedding: a menu card with a little movement, a tablescape with texture, a hem that catches the light on the dance floor.

for everyday style: a silk top, a beaded skirt, a single statement piece that moves when you do.

for the home: a lamp that softens the room, a bar front with a little drama.

the version that lasts is quiet: neutral tones, one detail, real texture.
save this for your next design board.

Sorry, but we had to.

A completely unscientific study of things that are objectively *so chic.*

I’ve long kept a Pinterest running board for our new home of everything that catches my eye—no filter, no overthinking, just whatever stops my scroll. Some of it’s absurd. Some of it I’ll fight my contractor for. All of it is teaching me something about what I actually want, versus what I think I’m supposed to want.

Swipe through, and you’ll see the throughline: moments that speak with authority without trying too hard. This foyer inspiration specifically has been living rent-free in my brain for weeks. I don’t fully know why yet, but something about it feels right.

I’d love to know—which one would you steal for your own house?

Also, if anyone knows where my sanity ran off to, she’s late for a meeting with my husband 🫠

Recap of our Nuru Marrakesh design meeting in London ✨I met up with our design team @toluadeko @adeko.co
for what was a truly immersive meeting where they presented the initial design concepts for the property.

So much thought goes into every space, from mood-board to hand sketches, material selection, this project is really going to be category defining! I can’t wait 🙌

Adẹ̀kọ́ & Co. has been appointed to design Nuru Marrakech, a new boutique riad hotel set within the historic Medina of Marrakech and scheduled to open in 2028.

Developed by Nuraya Collection, the 23-room retreat will bring together a rooftop restaurant, spa, courtyard, speakeasy bar and guest suites within a narrative-led hospitality experience rooted in the rhythms, craft and cultural identity of the city.

“Designing a riad is not about imposing a vision,” says Tolù Adẹ̀kọ́. “It is about responding to place.”

Here are some of the voices—designers, architects, hoteliers, and cultural thinkers—who brought our Designed to Stay series at @alcova.milano to life during Milan Design Week.

Looking back on Alcova Talks, we revisit the questions that shaped the series—exploring how hospitality can create spaces that resonate emotionally and culturally over time, through atmosphere, memory, and meaning as much as through physical design.

Here, we spoke with @shalinimisraltd, @studiolani, @toluadeko from @adeko.co, @simonaflacco from @simple_flair and @shaunateevens from @amigo_app.

Design is not neutral.
Culture shapes everything.

So how do we create places that people do not just visit, but carry with them?

I’ll be speaking at Design Hotels Talks during Milan Design Week as part of Alcova Talks, alongside Lani Adeoye and Shalini Misra.

Our panel is Expanding Futures:
Reframing Design Through New Cultural Lenses.

Monday 20 April, 12pm
Moderator: Jasmin Jouhar

Hosted at Baggio Military Hospital, one of the sites transformed by Alcova this year, under the wider theme Designed to Stay.
We’ll be exploring what makes places endure.

Memory.
Atmosphere.
Meaning.

And the cultural lenses that shape how we design, host and belong.

If you’re in Milan, I’d love to see you there.
