Me & @admirerofbooks are buddy reading Immortal Dark by @tigestgirma and we are loving being back in this world!
We’re so glad we decided to reread the first book before reading the sequel because we clearly forgot so much especially how feral Kidan is. I love her so much!

If you love dark academia, vampires, enemies to maybe lovers who actively try to kill each other, a found family & a feral eldest daughter who is searching for her missing sister then you should pick up this book!

It’s The Love Hypothesis day! You actually don’t understand how excited I am to watch this film omg. Every clip & interview I have seen has given me high hopes that this film will be amazing!

BUT it won’t be until the weekend as its the date night film with wifey, who has the audacity to have a job & so she can’t stay over until the weekend 😭

So no one tell me anything about the film until after I seen it!

🧺 ‧₊˚ ⋆｡ 🪞 ｡⋆ 🏹 ‧₊˚ august re-cap ♡

i have put off making this bc of a lack of motivation but also, to be very candid, august wasn't entirely great for me either.

my mental health took a turn so, while i did a lot of cool stuff, august kind of felt tainted too, sadly.

but i still wanted to compile everything into a post because i did do some fun stuff that's worth sharing and I'm grateful for, and while making this, it helped reshape the way i looked back on the month — so much so, i actually had to leave a bunch of photos and activities out because it was jam packed!

some things that i did but not included were;

☆ visiting the tony's chocolonely factory (one of my fav chocolate bars!)
☆ the barbie dream experience (ended up having way too much fun ♡)
☆ various meals out with friends (including some of the best korea food I've ever had!)

And probably more I can't remember!

Do you buddy read? What’s a book adaptation you enjoyed or want to watch?

Me & @admirerofbooks recently finished our buddy read of The Love Hypothesis to prepare for our date night to watch the film later this month.

Rereading I actually enjoyed the book so much more & I loved screaming about it with wifey about all our favourite parts.

I’m so hyped for the film now! Every clip I see makes me more excited!

I read Darker By Four by @junescribbles with my girls @lovefromzee & @admirerofbooks as part of our staycation book club read & then we discussed it while journaling at our cottage & it was the best experience!

I still need to read the sequel but I’m hoping to start it soon! Especially that ending has left me with so many questions & I need answers!

time is so strange! it feels like april was so long ago when we just said goodbye last week.

it's probably because I met my girlies the second week of april and too much time has passed since ❤️‍🩹

but a lot happened that I'm grateful for ♡

💌 stayed with my friends
🎶 just a week of k-pop & yap
🍜 we ate good food
🎁 enchanging gifts, road trips, game nights & all that good stuff

outside of that, I've been on top of things at work given the looming GCSEs. but I imagine that will be changing very soon...

I've been continuing to make the best iced coffees and matcha lattes at home. Not even to save money, but to acquire a new consistent hobby 😅

I do feel like I've been trying to juggle multiple hobbies and never know what i actually want to do 🧍🏾‍♀️

which sadly means, not a lot of reading but I did read two that i surprisingly enjoyed! let's hope may is a better reading month 😅

At the weekend, I attended the book club with the bestie @admirerofbooks hosted by @w.r.cbookclub for the book, The Othered Woman: How White Feminism Harms Muslim Women by @shahedezaydi

I loved it so much and all the discussions that were had there. It was so interesting & insightful. I loved that this safe space was created for us to come and speak about this book & all the topics that come from this book.

I definitely recommend picking this book up as it is a great resource & one that I wished I had when I was younger.

ngl, I haven't been journaling as much in the last two months 😭 but it's one of my fav things to do and I'm getting back into it again.

despite preferring more personal entries, I love the journaling aesthetic I've cultivated~

but I do want to start doing more fun spreads so please comment some ideas I should try out!
