What a night. ❤️

Our @adr30under30 Amplify Workshop was everything we hoped it would be — a room full of emerging South Australian architects and interior designers, honest conversations, generous advice and a genuine willingness to support the next generation of our design community.

A huge thank you to @alvinpwu from @ausdesignreview for helping us bring this initiative to Adelaide, to @tonguengrooveau for your continued support of this incredible initiative and to our brilliant panel — Sophia from @designbywbl , Kaitlin from @jpedesignstudio , Sara from @das__studio and Matt from Beatiful creative agency— for giving your time, sharing your experiences and being so open with everyone in the room.

The whole reason behind bringing 30UNDER30 Amplify to SA was simple: we want to see more South Australian talent putting themselves forward, backing themselves and being represented nationally.

Judging by the energy in the showroom last night, there is certainly no shortage of talent here.

Thank you to everyone who came along, asked questions, joined the conversation and made the night what it was.

Now… let’s get some more South Australians into that 30UNDER30. 🙌

Last Friday, Michael Drescher shared a tour of the LAUFEN & Roca Sydney Gallery with this year’s @adr30under30 cohort.

The merging of these two iconic brands position the space as a case study in experiential design and narrative. Curated as a Gallery rather than a traditional showroom, the design uses material, detail and dialogue that celebrates heritage and craftsmanship.

Thank you @laufen_australia, @roca_australia and @ausdesignreview for hosting the next generation of design talent.

As a sponsor of ADR’s 30 Under 30 2026 program, LAUFEN brought together the cohort from across Australia to participate in a workshop hosted by Michael Drescher (DKO, Partner – Interiors).

The new LAUFEN & Roca Gallery in Surry Hills was designed by DKO to move beyond the transactional nature of the traditional showroom, acting as an immersive hub for exhibitions, industry engagement and architectural dialogue. Following a catered lunch and drinks, the workshop explored the design process behind the Gallery, how Michael and his team approached the brief for an experiential space, and how his design career has evolved over the years.

The gathering marked the first time the 2026 30 Under 30 cohort had come together since their Bali retreat in May, providing a valuable opportunity for further networking and relationship building.
