Finally rode up somewhere I feared for years as a cyclist - Shatin Pass since I unclipped, bonked and fell off my bike last time.
My previous attempt was a complete mess due to my mentality back then, but things are different this time around, with a different mindset and a different company.
Thanks @rapha_hongkong and @paulko168 for organising and planning the ride, and hope everyone enjoyed the little hillclimb challenge on the second time we rode up there today.

Sweated through every meter of thick humidity and quiet country park roads up Hong Kong’s highest peak, Tai Mo Shan, and earned every single bit of post-ride dim sum with the crew.

Another day well spent on the bike. Join the RCC for the next one.

This year’s RCCHKG Far02 brings us to a 140km reservoir run around Baipenzhu, Huizhou. Blessed with great views and company, here are some photo highlights!

@adrian.velophotos : “This is my fourth FAR ride and the second as a photographer. The gravel segments, the brutal climbs and the hot temperature did not make this one easy. Yet, looking back through my lens, it will be remembered as a memorable one”

@kitsune._.photos : “This is my first official ride as a photographer and my first far ride. The blistering heat really caught up as the sun rose in the afternoon, but with all the smooth roads, great views, short gravel segments, the variations made taking photos a blast. With every checkpoint filled with laughter and smiles as we talk about the ride with the amazing support crew, these moments captured through my lens are priceless. It felt like a dream team partnering with Adrian, as he catered for photos for Group A, and I catered for Group B, we tried our best to capture everyone’s proud moments. Can’t wait for the next Far ride again!”

FAR 02 Baipenzhu Reservoir: Done and dusted! 🚴‍♂️💨

A solid 140km with 2,000m of elevation gain deep into eastern Huizhou. Putting in huge efforts under the relentless, scorching heat, we experienced Strade Bianche gravel, open highways, and vibrant local towns all in a single day. ☀️🏔️

It wouldn’t have been such a freaking awesome ride without everyone who shared this adventure with us. Massive thank you to our photographer @adrian.velophotos , transfer van team @gogox_hongkong , and the incredible event crew Huizhou FEBIKE for the professional support - those jellies and iced coffees kept every pedal stroke turning! ☕🧊

Rest up, and see you at the next FAR.

Last week I had the opportunity to join @rapha_hongkong for the women’s 💯 to celebrate all the strong and fierce women in our cycling community. Although I am usually a solo cyclist 🚴‍♀️ it was an honour to ride alongside these amazing women. Thanks to everyone who@made this happen and capturing the moment. #hongkongcycling #women #community #togetherwegotthis

100km done! There was cramping, sweat, a final push under the scorching sun, but above all, a fierce positive attitude through every single obstacle.

Seeing your growth over the past year with RCC has been pure inspiration. From riders who struggled through last year’s Women’s 100 training rides now conquering 100km in the fast group, to beginners who barely knew how to shift gears now proudly crossing that 100km finish line - you proved what consistency and community can do.

W100 Stickers are still available at the Clubhouse, and don’t forget to redeem your post-ride perk for a complimentary fitness class at @projectsfitness

A huge thank you to our support team for making this happen: @kathy_lamcy @tracylpling @paulko168 @official.mamachari.cyclist @__rickylai__ @voodoo_economics @eric_lee

Stay tuned for our October Women’s Ride - another chance to ride, reconnect, and keep the W100 spirit going.

Another summer of riding is well underway, trying to stay cool in the heat, trying to seek out new roads and new adventures here in Hong Kong and further afield.

We celebrated the spirit of the Italian Grand Tour during our monthly Sunday NT-Everybodys' Ride, and the turnout was incredible. Smiles, 🩷🅿🅸🅽🅺🩷 @rapha kits, and the best community in HK.

It wasn’t just about the miles; it was about the tribute. Huge thanks to everyone who showed up in their finest 🩷🅿🅸🅽🅺🩷 kits and tees to honor the world’s most beautiful race. The vibe was peaceful, the pace was social, and the coffee was definitely well-earned.

NT-E truly is the heart of Hong Kong cycling. Scroll through to see how we celebrate the sport we love!
