Welcome to the Otto Zone. ⛵️🔥

Otto is 17, one of those people everyone roots for, and he’s already winning heats against @jimthweatt !

Over the past season, he’s grown into a faster, more confident, and more independent sailor. And right alongside him is his mom, who has embraced every new sailing challenge too, from learning the boats to taking on every knot she can.

Today, we’re handing Otto the mic.🎤

Meet Otto, hear his story, and see why he and his family have become such a special part of our team. And a special thank you to our sponsor, @digitalcontrast.media for capturing the Otto Zone!

The first dress up day of October was a success! ⛱️🌊🏖🩴☀️
It was supposed to be a different theme, but some construction work left the front without the full AC. There's no way we're wearing wigs today 🫠 so @shannonmarlin said make it a beach day, and we did!!

Sam got a new boat! ⛵️❤️ A #neptune 16 #sailboat !

There’s something special about being surrounded by a team who don’t just cheer for your passion, but roll up their sleeves and help you pursue it.

Today wasn’t just about getting a sailboat ready.

It was about teamwork. Friendship. Showing up for each other. And making sure one of our sailors has everything she needs to keep chasing what she loves.

Congratulations, Sam. We can’t wait to see where this boat takes you. ⛵️❤️ #sail #sailaway #sailboats #saillife #adaptiveathlete #adaptivesailing #challengeaccepted #sailing⛵️ #team #teamwork

“Can I have a sunset with my sail? “ A real question from Otto🌅⛵️

Absolutely.

This was Otto’s view last night. Just a sailor, his boat, the wind and a Wednesday evening on the water.

And this? This is the goal.

Not just getting people on a sailboat. Teaching people to sail. Supporting their goals. Building the skills to take the helm and, someday, head out on a Wednesday evening simply because they can.

Because everyone deserves views like this.

We came. We sailed. We RS Fest-ed! ⛵️

A huge thank you to our hosts at @richmondyachtclub for welcoming the West Sacramento Inclusive Sailing Foundation team to RS Fest! Team @westcoastsailing , you are simply THE BEST!

Our sailors, crew, supporters and friends on the water, the safety boats, sailing, and those from near and far who were cheering us on as our team showed what’s possible in adaptive sailing - we couldn’t have done RS Fest without you. And of course we made you proud as we came home with some hardware! 🥈 A huge congratulations to our own Sam, who took SECOND PLACE!

And a very special thank you to @lwsailingclub for giving us such a great venue to train on and for your support as we built and trained with our team. To Christian and @california_inclusive_sailing_ for the incredible gift of continuing to train as many sailors as possible on the RS Venture Connect fleet - we are speechless. We’ll be putting these sailboats to work, training, sailing and racing, and introducing sailing to those who never thought sailing was possible. That is how we will continue to thank you, and that’s to simply fill our sails with #wind ! And of course, to our sponsors - DV Creative, @luminaripartners and @digitalcontrast.media , thank you for believing in us as we officially filled our sails with wind.

Watch out, sailing world. Adaptive sailing is where it’s at! 💨⛵️
