Hot damn! 🥵 That’s one way to start our week. We wrapped up Aaron’s new @timecycling Fluidity. One hell of an endurance weapon. Set up with a 1x13 @sramroad Force XPLR, aeroring, handbuilt wheels on @hopetech hubs. And a funky purple chain to contrast the simple tones of the black-and-silver. Should we do more Times? Oh, and we promise to get some better shots of this beaut.

Humbled at the @dalesdivide, bullied by storm Dave, shared many a tea and 'ey ups' with friends and family, wrote myself off clambering to a bothy, joined the merckel family, Yorkshire #dalesdivide #bikepacking #bothy #yorkshire

Dales Divide 2026 ✅ Great course in absolute horrendous weather. Lot of learnings (don’t rely on hotels during bank holidays) and happy I got safe through storm Dave. Proud to be part of the 25% finishers. Absolute the best introduction to the UK, it’s ultra scene, food, people and nature. Definitely coming back for more.

BIG WHEELS KEEP ON TURNING — for Mechanics of Joy Episode N°52, we’ll be joined LIVE in studio by @meolvin! On the show, we’ll talk about Melvin’s route into cycling as a passion and as a profession from his years @wheelrunnercc to managing brands at Dutch distro Agu and building his own name in the wheelbuilding game with with @adv.whls to more recent work with the @fietsersbond & wrenching with @j.guillem! There’s always more than bikes on the show and something about Melvin that you may not know is he’s also an accomplished keyboardist with several bands and experienced in the studio as well. Hopefully we can play a track from his Discogs! We’ll also talk 2026 plans like the @dalesdivide in April, the @wildcard.rally in June that he helps co-organize and recently joining @oldmanmountain’s Experimental Bikepacking Team! Tune in tomorrow, Thursday January 29th at 14:00 CET LIVE on @echoboxradio! #adventurewheel #themechanicsofjoy #echoboxradio
