5.10 Challenge Training - Part 4

Today I am thankful to all of my climbing friends and family who have been a part of my climbing journey since the beginning of this year after what I had to go through, struggle with, and pushed through last year and have been able to see all of the hard work, long training sessions, and the progress I have gone through to get to the point in my climbing I am at now that I am beyond proud of, but I do still have some parts of my climbing that I want to become better at. One of these things that I want to be better at is to be able to multiple lead climbs back to back with minimal rest time in between the climbs I am on during a set. I was able to practice part of this today while training for this years possible 5.10 challenge, if it happens or not, the training I am doing will be very helpful for me in reaching my other climbing goals before this year is over. What are you thankful for about climbing? What has climbing as a whole taught you?

2026 (Building My Endurance Up): This year I have done my best to increase the amount of time I spend on the wall in between rests by during some old and new endurance climbing training circuits to build up not only my endurance, but to help me find time and places to rest while on a route, which I was able to do towards the end of our session tonight on the green 5.10b and the black 5.10a next to it in the cave, which for me went very well, and I am proud how it went. Thank you so much to my climbing friends Ian and Elliott for encouraging and motivating me to do my best during tonight's session. There support helps me to push myself even when I feel burnt out, tired, and unmotivated. The progression and improvements we have all made this year is because we all help, encourage, and push each other each session we have together. What part of your climbing or your life has improved this year? What other improvements would you like to make?

8 years ago I (accidentally) became a content creator. 🙃

There are a no doubt perks that come with it, like getting paid to travel and promote your favorite gear. But the BEST part by far is the people I’ve met. Many of my closest friends I’ve met through these little squares 🥹

I recently got the chance to gather with a group of women for a @rockporch.creators retreat! And as I’ve learned to expect from this community, everyone was amazing 🩷 We chatted and laughed. Tried new activities together and watched a beautiful sunrise at Rocky Mountain National Park.

It was a week to remember! Always so grateful for this community. Have you ever been on a retreat? What was your experience? Scale of 1-10: would you go tubing down Boulder Creek? (So many questions!)

went on a cute lil retreat down in boulder for a couple and met some rad outdoorsy ladies

some of the rad women as mentioned

first day we did boulder at @thespotgym where i got a fun little rest of this climb, this was like 1 of 3 climbs i was able to send, spent most of the day falling tbh

i love my home mountain ranges but the flatties are very beautiful as is this clever sign <3

went tubing for the first time in years

fun fact: a couple years ago on a road trip with my sister we were tubing in ginnie springs in florida and there was rope that i got fucked up on, ended up with a sprained ankle and gnarly rope burns i still have the scars from rip
