Just over a year after graduating from @berkleecollege , @raylaxingmusic DEBUTED AT CARNEGIE HALL 🤍

A force to be reckoned with, but most importantly, a great friend. Thank you for sharing your big day (& your hotel bed) with Kayla & I. We love you sooo much and we’re soooooo proud of you. Everything you want to accomplish in this life is already yours.

I’m so glad I got to honour you with my camera. Thank you for trusting me - I’ll always be in your corner, celebrating your accomplishments and all the in-betweens.

Thank you to the whole @sphinxorg team for your mission of bringing opportunity to where the talent resides, and for being such a wonderful group of people. And lastly, CONGRATULATIONS & BRAVA (!!!!) to the musicians, composers and singers who played so beautifully. 🤍

I'm in tears writing this: My first Carnegie Hall Premiere!!! @carnegiehall 🎵

I keep trying to find the words to tell every and anyone who will listen how grateful I am for this opportunity. Being a part of @sphinxorg and @sphinxvirtuosi has literally changed my life and it's been an honour being able to share the stage with such TALENTED and musicians and composers @jessiemontgomerymusic @dgeter @jnaibmezzo @aaronpdworkin , as well as being uplifted by the sphinx crew behind the scenes who make this all possible @afadworkin @kingvaughnconductor @sheenaviolin @andreddowell @just_b.creative and my amazing small teammm @juliannclari @davidsonmusicservice @prixmmusicprep 🤍

With things like this I sometimes sit in a state of disbelief, as if this fell into my lap suddenly. But for those who have followed my journey for a while know that is NOT TRUE😂 This is possible from consistent hard work, networking, and finding people who believe in your potential. @theauthenticdelroylindo said we also need to be stubborn, passionate, and lil crazyyy😅

I appreciate EVERYONE who has been letting me know how much they enjoyed the piece, I am so happy and you still have time to catch it at the ELEVEN (11) more spots its going in America!! I love you all so much thanks for making this possible❤️🎵 -Ray

Opening doors through the arts. 🎻✨
From Long Island classrooms to the legendary Carnegie Hall, the Fern Joan Foundation is helping to create opportunities for young people to experience the transformative power of the arts.
On October 16, students from Westbury, Hempstead, and Uniondale High Schools attended a complimentary concert featuring the extraordinary Sphinx Virtuosi, celebrating 30 years of musical excellence and impact.
More than a concert, it was an opportunity to explore the arts beyond the classroom, discover new possibilities, and experience the power of music and culture in one of the world’s most historic venues.
At the Fern Joan Foundation, we believe every young person deserves access to experiences that inspire curiosity, nurture creativity, and broaden horizons.

A heartfelt thank you to Sphinx Virtuosi and school Administrators whose support helped make this experience possible.

Exposure matters. Access matters. Every young person deserves the opportunity to be inspired.

Last night at Carnegie Hall was everything ✨

Sphinx Virtuosi brought American Dialogues to New York as we began celebrating 30 years of Sphinx, with a hall full of music, community, and so much joy.

And one part of the night meant even more: 1,352 complimentary tickets helped welcome students, families, and community members into Carnegie Hall.

We’re deeply grateful to Gwen Lancaster, Susan Zohn, Douglas Love, Howard Hertz, Terry Woodward, and Jacqueline C. Washington for helping make that access possible.

What a way to begin this anniversary year 💛

Next stop: Ann Arbor.

🎻 What a special night at the @SphinxOrg 30th Anniversary Gala honoring actor Delroy Lindo @TheAuthenticDelroyLindo at the Russian Tea Room in New York City!

Violinist Randall Goosby @ItsGooz shared a special reunion with actor Delroy Lindo, who over a decade ago invited a 13-year-old Randall to perform at a Beverly Hills gala after he became the youngest-ever winner of the Sphinx Concerto Competition.

A truly full-circle moment ✨

I am deeply saddened by the passing of the extraordinary Martina Arroyo. Interviewing her at SphinxConnect in 2017 was such a joy, and an experience I will always treasure.
Martina helped change who could stand on opera’s greatest stages, then devoted herself to preparing young artists to take their own place there. Her generosity as a teacher stands alongside her magnificent voice in how we remember her. Thank you, Martina, for your artistry and for the opportunities you created for others! https://www.nytimes.com/2026/10/14/arts/music/martina-arroyo-dead.html
