Bottom Edge Air Mabou Mines, July 2026 : : This summer we had an opportunity to mount this work again, this time in Mabou Mines’ blackbox theater. The starkness of tech and the proscenium orientation created a deeper vacuum within the voids of the work. Clinical. Suspended. Post-Meditated. Also, if medicated, a mix of Gabapentin and Ketamine. Deepest gratitude to the cast and their deeply researched performances over this year, and the creative power of Zo, Laurel and Shana, who illuminated the vision with their brilliance/skills/auras. A great training is shaped by many voices. ✨ Meet our Guest Teachers, one by one. Over the next few weeks, we’re introducing the incredible guest teachers joining our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Faculty. 🙏 Laurel Atwell has been working professionally as an interdisciplinary performer, maker, and facilitator since graduating from Sarah Lawrence College in 2008. They have taught qi gong privately as well as classes and workshops across the country, including through Movement Research’s Somatic Practice programming. Their work has been presented at MoMA PS1, Baryshnikov Arts Center, Danspace Project, Gibney Dance, and Movement Research, among others. The full performance documentation of As Possible is now live online. Presented by ACOMPI at Freshkills Park on April 4, 2026, the performance marked the culmination of my two-year durational dressing project. Over the course of the project, I developed and lived within two opposing dressing scores—As Little Clothing As Possible (2024) and As Much Clothing As Possible (2025–26). For the performance, I wore As Much Clothing As Possible, reaching my limit of 80 pounds of clothing with a silhouette the size of a standard New York City door frame. new -PROCESS AS GUIDE- cycle! October November December in Vienna This might be for you: A 3 month-long weekly study group I lead for 5-8 performance makers. We are hosted by the legendary Vienna artist and community-centrics @rawmatterswien 🪆The container is for those of you who are currently drawn to art\life making by turning again toward the flow, the information, the mystery, the guidance in your own work that drew you to making art in the first place. Those who know that the magic lies in committing to showing up. No dropping in some weeks for this format. 🪆I am excited to encounter you. Your way of doing, being, thinking is exactly what another artist in the group needs. Through you I learn the group anew. I develop and organize PAG groups since 2017. I guided two other exeptional artists @affirmation.machine and @trashpatty_moonbone on how to lead PAG groups through my DIY MFA program. Never not a completely new experience. 🪆Away from optimizings and shoulds, we use frustrations, knots and not knowings as curious portals for expansion. We study together how to learn from our own work. Period. I tried to make a play about advertising but my mind lives In the gutter off happy endings. I made yet another play about death. After a year of anticipation Aura+♾️ is finally up on youtube. Link in bio. Ideally consumed while scrubbing your bathroom floor, It’s for second screen viewing pleasure. Opening with a foot appreciation livestream, loaded with gossip, and closing with a death score that my uncle wrote for his final day on earth. As I edited this monster I was delighted and surprised that this could came out of me? I think it’s funny HA HA but I might be laughing alone. It’s a bit 2025 hypey but still lands because it’s more about the structure than the content. Best supporting actress goes to Laurel Atwell @affirmation.machine (Who am I kidding) my leading lady carried this buddy comedy by the whale tail. For cinematography applaud @ninabowers. Second run of FOLD is here. DM for a copy — $15. Limited quantity. A densely folded publication that unfolds into a 14-page zine and two 11×17 posters, bound with hand-dyed elastic by Jessi Highet repurposed from the costumes of AS POSSIBLE. FOLD: Internal Review [AS POSSIBLE] is an autopoietic fashion critique and runway review written by the show’s participants to be read as a script. Covering AS POSSIBLE (Freshkills Park, April 4, 2026), a photographer, videographer, and fashion writer were invited to document the performance while simultaneously performing within it as models. FOLD reports on the fashion show from the inside out rather than observing from a critical distance. Part publication, part performance, FOLD loops documentation, critique, and image-making back into the work itself. A recursive runway review system that cannibalizes the artifacts, observations, and images generated from within the original performance. Not an archive, but an afterimage: a document to be reread, reperformed, and rewritten.
