Helping busy moms crush the mom bod myth

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Year NINE at Workout Harder Fitness, and we’re still finding new ways to challenge ourselves! 💪🏾🔥 Today, five amazing people, myself included, stepped outside our comfort zone and conquered the Hartford Marathon Relay in just over 4 hours and 30 minutes! Before our team even finished, I had already run and walked the distance of a full marathon. CRAZY! 😂 Proud of this crew for showing up, pushing through, and proving that growth has no finish line. 🏅

Communities are not meant to stay the same. They are meant to grow, evolve, and become stronger with every person who walks through the door.

That is exactly what we are building at Workout Harder Fitness.

Our community is built on one simple belief: Each One. Teach One.

When someone struggles, we don’t watch. We encourage them.

When someone falls behind, we reach back and help them up.

When someone doubts themselves, we remind them what they’re capable of.

When someone wants to quit, we help them find one more rep, one more step, one more reason to keep going.

Strength is contagious. So is belief.

This isn’t just a gym. It’s a community where people grow together, push each other, celebrate each other, and become better together.

If you’re ready to evolve, to be challenged, and to be surrounded by people who want to see you win, then Workout Harder Fitness is the place for you.

Come build something bigger than muscles.

Come build a stronger you.

It is my greatest honor to work with the ladies of the Seton Women’s Development Board. Their generosity, kindness, compassion, and heart for our hospital and all of the people in it never ceases to amaze me and they make such an impact in our community. These ladies are the best part of my job. ♥️🏥

Some mornings in the gym remind you what this whole thing is really about.

Today was one of those mornings.

On the board was the Muscle Up Complex
3 muscle ups
12 dips
5 pull ups
10 hanging knee tucks
15 push ups

40 minute AMRAP
You go, I go.

And that’s exactly what it was. A back and forth grind between two men separated by 30 years, but united by the same thing… the willingness to work.

One round I went.
One round he went.
Rep for rep. Effort for effort.

That’s the beauty of this place. Workout Harder Fitness is never about age. It’s never about who can lift the most or move the fastest. It’s about how much of yourself you are willing to bring to the fight today. It’s about pushing just a little further than yesterday.

And while we were grinding through the muscle up complex, others were right there beside us building up their own version. Assisted work. Progression work. Same spirit. Same sweat. Same purpose. Everyone moving at their level but pushing with the same heart.

That’s the culture here. Young. Old. Beginner. Advanced. Everyone chasing that next step forward.

That’s Workout Harder Fitness.

The ladies of the Seton Women’s Development Board took our meeting offsite to our favorite spot in Round Rock - The Ruby! We have the most amazing ladies doing incredible things for our hospital. And 2026 gala planning is already underway! 🩷

“Thank you” doesn’t feel sufficient when it comes to recognizing everyone who made the Ascension Seton Williamson Foundation’s 2025 gala such a resounding success, but those are the only words I have. Thank you to our donors, sponsors, patients, associates, families, friends, leadership, and especially the Seton Women’s Development Board for helping us set ANOTHER fundraising record. You are all the reason why I love what I am blessed to be able to do for our hospital and for our community. See you next year!

The struggle is real, folks!
And it’s not just because I’m moving up in years.
This has been a phenomenon that has occurred most of my adult life! 🤣
Why do I forget the instructions on the box the moment after I throw it in the trash?!?🗑️😅

Like and Follow if you can relate and for more realities of this special needs mom‘s midlife journey!

xoxo. Terri 💕🙌🏻

“I asked a friend of mine who is over 60 years old: What kind of change is she feeling?
She sent me the following very interesting lines:
1) After loving my parents, my brothers, my husband, my children, my friends, I have now started to love myself.
2) I just realized I’m not “Atlas”( a book of maps or charts). The world does not rest on my shoulders.
3) I have now stopped dealing with fruit and vegetable sellers. After all, a few cents more won’t blow a hole in my pocket, but it might help the poor man save for his kids’ school fees.
4) I pay the taxi driver without waiting for change. The extra cash can bring a smile to your face. After all, he’s working a lot harder than I am.
5) I stopped telling older people who have told this story many times. After all, history makes them walk the path of memory and relive the past.
6) I learned not to correct people, even when I know they are wrong. After all, it’s not my responsibility to make everyone perfect. Peace is more precious than perfection. (If the person lives in a bubble, let it... don’t burst the bubble)
7) I give praise freely and generously. After all, it improves the mood not only of the recipient but also mine.
8) I learned not to be bothered by a stain on my shirt. After all, personality speaks louder than appearances.
9) I stay away from people who don’t value me. After all, they may not know my worth, but I do.
10) I get calm when someone does dirty politics to get ahead of me in the rat race. After all, I’m not a rat and I’m not in any races either.
11) I am learning not to be ashamed of my emotions. After all, it’s my emotions that make me human.
12) I learned that it is better to let go of the ego than to break up a relationship. After all, my ego will keep me aloof, while with relationships I will never be alone.
13) I learned to live each day as if it were my last. After all, it might be the last.
14) I am doing what makes me happy. After all, I am responsible for my happiness and I owe it to myself.”

Double tap if you agree!! 💕🙌🏻
