A time was had in September. Sick ass haircut and coloring, exponential amounts of drinking and lifting, a beautiful wedding, and making memes of myself. Wouldn't trade any of it for anything 🫶🏻

Whew. It's taken a day or so to gather my thoughts. All this love and support has been joyfully overwhelming. This movement began as nothing more than a fleeting thought about wishing to see more women that looked like me doing the things I love to do, and hearing their stories. I talked myself out of trying to make it happen for a long while because imposter syndrome- 🤦🏾‍♀️I'm no elite athlete so why would anyone want to talk to me or hear what I have to say? 🤷🏾‍♀️ But then I remembered what I always say-you can't be what you can't see-and in a world where black women are so often overlooked, disregarded and disrespected, it's really important that WE SEE EACH OTHER. So though I had (and still don't have lol) no idea WTF I was doing, I did it anyway. There have been some bumps and bruises along the way, but that is where you find growth. I don't know what's next, but I love the community we have here and I want nothing more than to see it grow with more black female powerlifters, cross-fitters, oly lifters and strongwomen, loving on and encouraging each other, pushing each other, and cheering each other on. I am beyond grateful for the support. THANK YOU. See y'all at the Bar! 🏋🏾‍♀️❤️ -Bri PS-I need to s/o the anazing @sincerelysherine for all of her amazing design and graphic artwork. She is truly a gift. Love you Pocket Polly! 😘
